@joker46 re-read the instruction-------->Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element.
@joker46 put "/submit-cat-photo" <--------------------------your url
@mehdihs remeber underscore counts as an alphanummeric and \W only matches non-alphanummerics
@mehdihs so you have to add _ to your regex
Mehdi Hasan Sheikh
@mehdihs

_ is alphanumeric? ay ay ay!
greg

@mehdihs yes
@mehdihs also use bracket so it will match anything inside the brackets
@mehdihs no need for + because of the g global flag

Hey! For the Search and Replace algorithm challenge it states to preserve the casing. Since the test cases show that these string snippets to replace from and to might be of different length, should I only ensure that the casing is preserved for the first character or do I need to check more than that? (I know the test cases given only show testing of the first character, but I would rather be thorough in what is being asked of me)

Your h2 element and topmost img element should both be nested together within a div element with the class row.
Nest your topmost img element within a div with the class col-xs-4.
Nest your h2 element within a div with the class col-xs-8.
Make sure each of your div elements has a closing tag.

function queue(arr, item) {
  // Your code here

  return item; // Change this line
}

// Test Setup
var testArr = [1,2,3,4,5];

// Display Code
console.log("Before: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
console.log(queue(testArr, 6)); // Modify this line to test
console.log("After: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
Write a function queue which takes an array (arr) and a number (item) as arguments. Add the number to the end of the array, then remove the first element of array. The queue function should then return the element that was removed.

push the item to the end, and return+remove the front item (Array.shift())
so just return Array.push().shift();

@Raincode I think I may have got it.
Alright so, my arr.push(item); pushes that item given in the function variable to the end of the testArr variable. And return arr.shift(); returns that item to the console to be seen?
console.log(queue(testArr, 6)); // Modify this line to test
That prints it, with the testArr and 6 as args to the q function?
Tell me where I'm wrong. I just need to understand this.
@TravisHi My first guess: put that stuff at the beginning in $(document).ready() or so

then put the other code in a function and call the function inside click() event
thats what I would try first
and use === over == for some reason I forgot
Travis
@TravisHi

yeah, I put an if statement inside one of the click events
=== is strict equivalence
== is 2 = 'two'
=== needs the datatype to match as well

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated");
$(".btn").addClass("animated shake");
$("#target1").addClass("btn-primary");
});
</script> How do I " Only add one class with each of your three selectors
Brian
@sludge256
Feb 12 2016 01:32
you have two classes in your second selector
James
@jdd76
Feb 12 2016 01:33
So not to sound stupid here but are the classes the animated and shake?
totaly new to script w/ jQuery
Brian
@sludge256
Feb 12 2016 01:36
yep
James
@jdd76
Feb 12 2016 01:38
So the class animated, by itself what does that class do if there isn't an actual action written behind it. EX: ("animated") verus ("animated shake")
Brian
@sludge256
Feb 12 2016 01:39
This is the CSS for animated
.animated {
  -webkit-animation-duration: 1s;
  animation-duration: 1s;
  -webkit-animation-fill-mode: both;
  animation-fill-mode: both;
}
and shake
.shake {
  -webkit-animation-name: shake;
  animation-name: shake;
}
James
@jdd76
Feb 12 2016 01:41
So the animate class just defines basic duration of the actual action
Brian
@sludge256
Feb 12 2016 01:41
Seems that way
So animated says this element should be animated, and the addtional classes determine the type of animation.
James

@MightKamioka make a separate p tag in style
which exercise?
Franco Zapata
@Francozt01
Feb 12 2016 02:06
@MightKamioka the .red-text { color:red; } is just to give color red to the elements with the class red-text for the p elements u need another declaration just for p tags p { font size goes here ... }

Feb 12 2016 03:05
@biginjapan you need to declare h1 in your style section
@biginjapan as of right now you are only referencing your "body" section
Serge Zuev
@biginjapan
Feb 12 2016 03:06
Isn't h1 suppose to inherit the style from the body style?
B. Garber
@TheBGar
Feb 12 2016 03:07
@biginjapan unfortunately, no
Serge Zuev
@biginjapan
Feb 12 2016 03:07
The result displays the font-family inheritance correctly
B. Garber
@TheBGar
Feb 12 2016 03:07
@biginjapan correct

@biginjapan if you did

body {
   color: green;
}

that would make your h1 green since that styles all font green within your body

@biginjapan but if you are only wanting to target the h1 elements within the body, use h1 in your style section

You actually have several issues here. Your inside loop has mixed counter variables i and j instead of just j
function multiplyAll(arr) {
var product = 1;
// Only change code below this line
for (var i=0; i<multiplyAll.length;i++){
for (var j=0; j<multiplyAll[i].length; i++){
console.log (multiplyAll[i][j]);

// Modify values below to test your code

function showFirst(){thirdkw.className='';fourthkw.className='hover';setTimeout(function (){showFourth();}, 2000);}

</script>
i need to to stop set timeout when i hover dat is mouse enter adn on mouse leave it should start normally the effect is color change
this is my problem
the effect is background color change
on hover
ul li {background-color:#00a0d2;}
ul li span.num {background-color:#0084ad;}
ul li.hover {background-color: #0084ad;}
ul li.hover span.num{background:#00a0d2 }
so effect is a animating one
logic i thought is on mouse enter i will stop the timer and on mouse leave i will call the first function so that the set timeout loop again continues

$("#target1").parent().css("background-color", "red");

<div class="well" id="left-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target1">#target1</button>

Hey.. question regarding this assigment.
When I use the jQuery above, it turns both the target1 button AND the left-well red. Why would this happen? Shouldn't the red color only affect the parent (well)? And if it is then inherited by the children if you modify the parent, why didnt the other 2 children, target2 and target3 ALSO turn red?

Thanks!

@xinlitik left-well is parent to #target1, thats why it turns to red with #target1.

@pranavdoshi use with variable, ike:
var timer = setTimeout(fun(),1000);
and
clearTimeout(timer);
@jdd76 remainder operator(%), will give you remainder after divide operation, e.g. 11%3;
And assign this to ur remainder variable
@pranavdoshi and also you can make direct call like: setTimeout(showFirst,2000);

Hi everybody! I have a bit of a problem with the 'Sorted Union'-challenge(http://www.freecodecamp.com/challenges/sorted-union) - I get the right answer in the output-screen, but I still don't pass the test. Here is my solution: https://jsbin.com/xidimog/edit?html,js,console,output . I suspect the reason is that I 'manually' push the first array-element to the finalArray(i.e. result), but technically that should not matter, as the first array-element would be added to the answer anyway

remove the dont-size:16px from the ".red-text"

and make a new style that goes like this

p{
font-size:16px;
}

the problem is you removed the red-text and thats what holds the font-size property

instead you need to declare it for the paragraphs, do you get what im saying?
