just remember no punctuation, eg. p { } would be an element, dot .something { } for a class, and #something { } for an id

Hi does anyone know how to put an i element into a button(challenge 87 from freeCodeCamp)? The i element was originally used to make other elements italic, but is now commonly used for icons. You add the Font Awesome classes to the i element to turn it into an icon, for example:

<i class="fa fa-info-circle"></i>

Use Font Awesome to add a thumbs-up icon to your like button by giving it an i element with the classes fa and fa-thumbs-up.

@KiaFarhang You can't nest containers - they each need to be separate. You can use container instead of container-fluid for a fixed width. I'm not sure why you would want to change the height (yet).

Okay, I am struggling here, I can't seem to figure out how to place code in this chat room. I must need very explicit instructions as "it's over there" isn't (Just for illustration)sends me off on a thousand different directions, never twice the same. So while that may be great for an artist or one creating a language, it doesn't work when figuring out chat room methods and reasoning. I feel thus far frustrated because I usually have been making mistakes or not arriving at the prize because I don't have enough information or the explanation took something for granted that an old 57 year old mother and grandmother ought to know. The key thing is to stick with your decision after you make it (unless it turns out the better school really is a bad school with a pretty face). There probably isn't a wrong choice unless the school with your friends won't teach you properly.

Make a function called onlyTheTruthy that takes in an object, loops through all its properties, and removes any that are falsy. Then return the object that was passed in. (hint: delete)

@mafisto92 This is regex (regular expression) notation. It says replace all non-alphanumeric elements throughout the string with nothing, then take the string and lower case it.

@pareshsalunke Hi. Good effort. Here are a few suggestions for you page. The overlay with "God of electricity" shouldn't be wider than the container, make sure you adjust that accordingly. Next there are some white margins on both sides of your container, that makes everything less aesthetic... you should take care of that next. Additionally you might want to play around with the width of your container. White margins aren't necessary a bad thing, they can focus the attention of the viewer to the center of the screen... but they should either be wider than what you have now or remove them completely. Lastly, you should have the overlay of text on your first image in the same spot, regardless of scaling so you don't cover exactly the face of MR. Tesla. Also you have to make some adjustments to have proper mobile responsiveness. Hope this helps! All the best! Happy coding !

back in stoneage, when I used to do fcc, if I got stuck and I asked for help and people gave me answers
I'd analyze the hell out of it to figure out why it works, what is different, what is new, what didn't work
that way I learned most of it :D
I analyzed the callback function used in filter for like 3 weeks to understand what is this magic thing
function inside function = blew my mind :D

@drtwix jQuery uses CSS Selectors to target elements. target:nth-child(n) css selector allows you to select all the nth elements with the target class or element type.

Here's how you would give the third element in each well the bounce class:

$(".target:nth-child(3)").addClass("animated bounce");

Make the second child in each of your well elements bounce. You must target the children of element with the target class.

Hi all and good morning. I need a little help understanding something in my multidimensional array. I created an array with 3 arrays inside, for an example:

and using this loop to acesso them:

It loops through them and print them, but im trying to acess, for example, the second array and print only the second array but can't get them... . Can anyone help me understanding what is my loop doing wrong?

Yes they do because they know how to correct their mistakes if anything goes wrong, because they have the foundation they've built up on, but if a nubie starts using shortcuts right at the beginning, this would be same as a primary school student studing for uni exams.... Hi all :) i have a couple of problems with my portfolio task http://codepen.io/doraseeks/full/grYjaa/ .
1) for the navbar i tried to use the code from here https://getbootstrap.com/examples/navbar-fixed-top/# however my drop down menu when viewed from mobile is not functioning
2) my background images work well enough on desktop but are not mobile responsive
3) not sure if the portfolio thumbnails are ok as they are now

you're either gong to have to loop through the code to find the correct object, or use something like array.filter

@Fen24 you should use col offsets to position the text on the right rather than setting it with an absolute position. That will conflict with bootstrap as you're seeing.

@ralaflair You know what, I looked at the previous exercise and it looks like something didn't carry over. The first <p> tag is supposed to have the red-text class, you're supposed to remove it from the first paragraph and add it to the second
