instructions You need 2 p elements with Kitty Ipsum text.
Make sure each of your p elements has a closing tag.
Your p element should contain the first few words of the provided additional kitty ipsum text.
Do not add a class attribute to the second p element, without removing it from the first one.
Give elements with the p tag a font-size of 16px. Browser and Text zoom should be at 100%.

$(document).ready(function() { var target = $(".head").children(); target.css("color", "blue"); });
However, I may be wrong.

@wundertunge uhhhh maybe you're thinking header? http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_head.asp

The <head> element is a container for metadata (data about data).
HTML metadata is data about the HTML document. Metadata is not displayed

I see the only way to solve this task - to cut off normal array, to create array out of other arguments, to filter them out!
easy, should be
function destroyer(arr) {
  // Remove all the value
  var arr1 = arguments[0];
  var argArr = [];
  for(var i = 1; i < arguments.length; i++){
    argArr[i-1] = arguments[i];
  }
  for(var j = 0; j < argArr.length; j++){
    arr1.filter(function(obj){
    return obj !== this;
    }, argArr[j]);
  }
}
Okey, i guess it's time for me to shut my head down

@daemedeor Write a function queue which takes an array (arr) and a number (item) as arguments. Add the number to the end of the array, then remove the first element of array. The queue function should then return the element that was removed.

Hey guys, quick JS question. I'm doing the quote challenge, and I decided to wrap my AJAX request in a function to do an easier click-refresh.

However, my code stops working when I do this. If I remove the getQuote wrapper from the AJAX request everything works fine.

I'm sure I'm missing something small, but it's obscure enough that stackexchange isn't bringing much up on it. I'd appreciate any help you can give.

Thank you!

Justin

is moving it outside of the box
when i change it to margin: 1% auto, it fits squarly in the box
becareful of using percentages though
because if the browser is scaled differently, it will move it away
since you're using a mobile layout you shouldn't ... really need percentages the way you're using it

Michael Mazzone

@hikurangi Hey, it's arr.length not multiplyAll.length
@hikurangi This is because the function is named multiplyAll, but the parameter is called 'arr' which stands for array (but can be named anything!)
@hikurangi function multiplyAll(arr) -> what is inside the parenthesis is what's being passed into the function. I hope this made sense!

@novice84 well, there's three parts to this:
([^\d]) - that means NOT digit
(\d) - that means a digit
([^\w]*) - this means 0 or more NOT words
so, it would match something like ".2." or "v2#
you can test it on http://regexr.com/

Font size is controlled by the font-size CSS property, like this:

h1 {
font-size: 30px;
}
Create a second p element with the following kitty ipsum text: Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.

Inside the same <style> tag that contains your red-text class, create an entry for p elements and set the font-size to 16 pixels (16px).

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge.

Also, please do not add a class attribute to your new p element.

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

.font-size {
font-size: 16px;
}

</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p> Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p class="font-size">Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

look at the tasks
You need 2 p elements with Kitty Ipsum text.

@daemedeor its more so it’d be nice if people would explore other responsive style sheets besides bootstrap
im a fan of skeleton.css lately

@deedubwhy but bootstrap is used at a lot of companies

sure is, doesn’t make it appropriate for all uses

If you want the font get this code

<link href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Press+Start+2P' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

On your CSS add this

font-family: 'Press Start 2P', cursive;
R.Mun

it's better to use @import

help Validate US Telephone Numbers
CamperBot
@camperbot
Mar 30 2016 07:17

:point_right: algorithm validate us telephone numbers [wiki]

Problem Explanation:

  • The task is not that hard to understand, implementing it is the hardest part. You have a to validate an US phone number. This means there is a certain amount of numbers required, while you don't need to put the country code, you will still need the area code and use one of the few formats allowed.

@bhargav4 Instead of var x=add(c); return x();, use return add.bind(null, c);, which binds the global object to this inside the returned function (does not matter), and c to be the first argument.
