Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element.
Anyone know what Nest in element means?

@Balvamar You have to find an API that gives you random quotes, just google "quotes JSON API" and you'll find something. After that, there will probably be a documentation that explains to your how to get the info. You will get JSON data out of the API.

Create a class called thick-green-border that puts a 10-pixel-wide green border with a style of solid around an HTML element, and apply that class to your cat photo.

Wangdu
@wduntak
May 07 2016 02:26
in this case you add <img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat">
now you have that class available for the img element
so you can add a style for thick-green-border in the style tag
.thick-green-border { border: 10px solid green; }
Your answer will look something like this:

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}

.smaller-image {
width: 100px;
}

.thick-green-border{
border: 10px solid green;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<img class="smaller-image" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat">

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

@AimanHana map returns a new array but you need to capture that in a variable (or return it directly)

var newString = str.map(function(word) {
    return (word.charAt(0).toUpperCase() + word.slice(1));
  });
  return newString.join(" ");

or just

return str.map(function(word) {
    return (word.charAt(0).toUpperCase() + word.slice(1));
  }).join("");

thats because b is an array
you should do b[0].toUpperCase()
upendrahanda

May 07 2016 06:05
@elminsterrr your output is not a string, so string method wont work. Try using slice instead.
or as Erick said.
my bad, slice would also output an array, so you can go with b[0] approach

??
Darth Skywalker
@adityaparab
May 07 2016 08:11
@abdul786483 @MikeUIDev is right. The problem is not with double quotes in and off themselves. However, the test cases implemented on FCC want View more and not "View more ". That is why it was failing. Besides, "View more " cat photos just doesn't look right.

Set the value of your placeholder attribute to "cat photo URL".
The finished input element should have valid syntax.

@ShaffiWebdesigner you should open a <div> tag after the </style> closing tag, and close the div after the last line of html (after the closing </form> tag), and give the div the correct class
you could also open the div at the very top of the code; this works but to me makes a bit less sense

@URobert Well obviously haha. But I like to think of this group as a source of getting the same info, but actually make sense. Because I've read the wiki page already and I can't seem to wrap my head around it, yet I see the term middleware pop up everywhere that's about Node and such

@elminsterrr clear that. At least for me is hard to look at what you did there. You only need a few lines of code. The way I did it, back a while was using split and two for loops. Split up the string first, then the words. All first letters should be capitalized the rest should be lower case.

nope
scrolling animation is a bit different
$(function() {
  $('a[href*="#"]:not([href="#"])').click(function() {
    if (location.pathname.replace(/^\//,'') == this.pathname.replace(/^\//,'') && location.hostname == this.hostname) {
      var target = $(this.hash);
      target = target.length ? target : $('[name=' + this.hash.slice(1) +']');
      if (target.length) {
        $('html, body').animate({
          scrollTop: target.offset().top
        }, 1000);
        return false;
      }

@OMahonyD hello, can you tell me what is div?
Manuel Tancoigne
@mtancoigne
May 07 2016 13:13
@chalak2 a div is a HTML block, defined as follow: <div>text</div>
Daniel O'Mahony
@OMahonyD
May 07 2016 13:13
@chalak2 A div is a section / a placeholder / a container for content.

@chalak2 Bootstrap operates on a 12-grid system. You can set a div to be a row and then within that row you will have columns which will need to add up to 12. For example:

```
<div class="row"> <!--start row-->
<div class="col-xs-3"> ... </div><!--a column that makes up 3 grids-->
<div class="col-xs-5">...</div><!--a column that makes up 5 grids-->
<div class="col-xs-4">...</div><!--a column that makes up4 grids-->
</div><!--end row-->
<div class="row"> <!--start row-->
<div class="col-xs-3"> ... </div><!--a column that makes up 3 grids-->
<div class="col-xs-5">...</div><!--a column that makes up 5 grids-->
<div class="col-xs-4">...</div><!--a column that makes up4 grids-->
</div><!--end row-->
My tribute blog is too wide. What additional thing do I need to do to limit it to the width of the picture and/or 40-50 characters...http://codepen.io/kgashok/pen/dMeVOV
can anyone help me with form elements? I keep getting stuck at the nesting section. I beleive me code is correct, but maybe the placement is wrong? I'm guessing this will be a "submit" button for the cat app?
Hello all, this is my first question here. What's wrong I'm doing so that FreeCodeCamp keeps telling me "You need a element that links to (link)"?
Hey, guys, quick question, is there any way for me to make the image smaller without having to write a specific class for it that restricts the width? Example here; http://codepen.io/afroviking/pen/mPvryB
Can someone helpl me:
-change the z-index to overlap my footer, or atleast extend the page when a div slides down. I think my document flow may be a little out of whack
@afroviking Not a best practice, but if you only have one image you could target the img element. Otherwise you should use a class or ID.
May 07 2016 15:17
@Zerazera I figured as much. In this case i will be using only one image on the page, but for future references, just use a class or id? Even if it's for a small change, such as for example giving a small border to it?
try it, inside the style="..." you can set properties for the tag
style="width: 50px;" should be a good example, try it
after you get that working try using classes as @Manish-Giri said
now, you guys know how to achieve success in the nest ancho element challenge?
