A user profile picture next to a with Brownie Points score

There are two ways you can get Brownie Points:

  1. Complete challenges - you get one point per challenge you complete
  2. Help other campers in chat - each time you help another camper and they thank you (by typing "thanks @yourname"), you will get a point

Brownie Points help you look like the kind of person who codes a lot, shares relevant links, and helps people.

They also add to your Streak.

Can tell you now, though-- i think a few things are jumbled, @jmizrachi -- your input with that class="form-control" placeholder="cat photo URL" required> should still have type = "text"
sure thing! (grey means you've used one... you want three to make it back and pretty~ But grey definitely is better than none-- at least we won't miss hidden stuff like with pain text :blush: )

the second is beigger--
you have added the h2 to your <style>
but it appears you have deleted the actual <h2> element from you html
so... you are telling it to make all your h2's blue... but you dont have any h2s to make blue!

the <h2> element you deleted was under the </style> tag, @JohnBasulto98 -- you are missing a line that says <h2>CatPhotoApp</h2> :blush:

we can do it with elements or classes or IDs (coming later) @JohnBasulto98
it will change the ones in our code that match what we tell it~ So, we need them twice-- in the place we say what it should look like (the css <style> section) and in our content (the html)

@AMBONOLA The URL place holder is really just used here so you can get all the code written without having to know the exact URL that may be used when the code is actually run
@AMBONOLA for example: Maybe its going to link to an image, but you haven't found the one you want to use yet. well instead of having to stop and find the image so you code will work properly, you just you the place holder so you can still work on the code until you do find the image you want

@JohnBasulto98 I'm just writing this b/c different wording may make more sense to different people, what he said is 100% accurate. In your Style secion, you set up different "classes" (style modifications) that you can then call upon to modify any of your elements.

@DVreal , so two things-- only one is causing the problem, but lets fix both :blush:
First, you can delete that top h2, the one under <style>
you dont need that there-- you are using a class
so, now your code should look like :

.red-text {
color: red;
}
</style>

when we use a class, we have to do two things:
1) create the class in the style section-- you've done that correctly
2) apply the class in the html. that is what is still missing
you apply a class to an element like this:
<element class= "class-name">
your element you want to change is your h2,
and the class-name you want to use is red-text
can you give that a go and let me know if you are still stuck?

I try to stay away from naming classes that imply/indicate a style/appearance. What if you decide you want your red-text things to actually be yellow? You'll wish you'd left the color out of the class name.

So really the only reason I can think of that you'd want to do that would be if you wanted to set an inline style to override an external style that was !importnat

they arent studying at FCC, nor interested in helping in the help rooms,
but they know loads. if they are in the mood to help, they are your best bet on most things... just depends if they feel like helping :blush:
And, the mods are usually found out there most often--that was who i meant, actually,
i know one in particular who solves login issues like a pro, but
out there, he hangs out NOT to help. he's in the help rooms when he wants to be on help-duty, so...

lol, well, more technically, i think it is trying to test that that particular link has been nested... so even if you did it right, if you have duplicated it and NOT nested one, it sees the unnested one as an error shrug
BUT, thats my guess on how the test works, from helping loads of people with that or related issues.... it'll get mad is shorter than explaining my theory on why :blush:

@frogshelp , each bootstrap row can have max 12, right?
so, you have two divs in each row,
the <div class="col-xs-8"> and the <div class="col-xs-4">
that means, they each are opened, closed, opened closed
kinda like this--

Hey guys. Can someone help out with multi-dimensional arrays? I'm having some trouble understanding the example. var arr = [
[1,2,3],
[4,5,6],
[7,8,9],
[[10,11,12], 13, 14]
];
arr[0]; // equals [1,2,3]
arr[1][2]; // equals 6
arr[3][0][1]; // equals 11

<element class = "example-class">
so in this case, you element is a div element, and the class is gray-background :blush:
(make sure you have also defined the class in your <style> section~)
