picture could be a child of the element where you want the background...or it can be a "sibling" of the background element...either way I would use bootstrap to ensure best layout on multiple devices (which is what responsive is about)....if you want it to look righ on phones and tablets in both orientations...
if picture is to be "contained" by background element, then make it a child, otherwise think of it as a "floating div" and use css positioning with z-index

@ren-lowex Hi ren, you could potentially try using CSS3 by targeting specific elements with pseudo's. You might even get away with using :before pseudo-element on your footer in order to create your copyright year (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/::before)

Ok perfect! Your red-text class is writtin inside of your style tags. Now then:
You have your <h2> written correctly as well, but it is in the incorrect place. Should it be inside or outside of the style tag?
Hint: outside :)

Hello there. I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue in this code dealing with the navbar:
https://codepen.io/johnnymcmonny/pen/qNNLPv?editors=1100
I'm using CSS Bootstrap in it, and the navbar has a fixed position. It doesn't seem to happen in CodePen, but when I open it in a browser and shrink it to a small to medium screen size, the navbar shrinks to the size of the image in it. It only does this when I have it as "position: fixed", but I need that particular property on the navbar. Does anyone have a suggestion around this?
Pakinam
@PakinamB
Jun 17 2016 01:09
@baisek2 Or simply give it a size of 100px specifically for this app exercise

I just saw that disregard, what are you wanting it to do?
It seems like you have missed several classes needed for the bootstrap navbar
JohnnyMcMonny
@JohnnyMcMonny
Jun 17 2016 01:16
@etacalpha It's just supposed to stay expanded across the page no matter how small the screen is. That works fine, but not if I give it a position of fixed. If it does have that fixed position and I shrink the page to a near medium size, the navbar shrinks and looks like this: http://imgur.com/XqeDVxL
I'm just trying to make the navbar from scratch ^^' I'm pretty new at this, lol.

What is the container-fluid class for?
Darth Skywalker
@adityaparab
Jun 17 2016 06:45
@IulianCrudu : container-fluid class expands to the full width of it's parent. So it is like a container you put your content into. container-fluid means, it is a fluid container. Mearning it will expand in a way that will cover the 100% width of it's parent.

:point_right: code formatting [wiki]

Multi line Code

```js ⇦ Type 3 backticks and then press [shift + enter ⏎] (type js or html or css)
<paste your code here>,
then press [shift + enter ⏎]
``` ⇦ Type 3 backticks, then press [enter ⏎]

Single line Code

This an inline `<paste code here>` code formatting with a single backtick() at _start_ and _end_ around thecode`.

@hyfdabaoge you need to give a name to the label. So you should insert word "Indoor" like this: Indoor</label> And you don't need a closing </input>

Hey guys, I'm working on the jQuery things now and I just put in this code:

$(document).ready(function() {
$("#target1").css("color", "red");
$("#target1").prop("disabled", true);
$("#target4").remove();
$("#target2").appendTo("#right-well");
$("#target5").clone().appendTo("#left-well");
$("#target1").parent().css("background-color", "red");
$("#right-well").children().css("color", "orange");
$("#left-well").children().css("color", "green");
$(".target:nth-child(2)").addClass("animated bounce");

});

somehow, when it runs on the side screen the #target5 box is displayed twice -- and then it disappears again sometimes. And then it appears again. It's not a big issue, but I was just wondering whether anybody knows why this happens and whether I've put in a wrong code?

Hey! So, this is my code for 'Target the same element with multiple jQuery Selectors '. Can someone help me with what's wrong in the code?
<script>
$(document).ready(function()
{
$("button").addClass("animated");
$(".btn").addClass("animated shake");
$("#target1").addClass("btn-primary");
});
</script>

@neco96 try this: p {font-size: 16px:} 16 is just an example. You can also use ems, like this: p {font-size: 1.2em;}

@bhargavi2497 - one suggestion that I try to give people is to make more use of the test information and the results - for this particular challenge, it says in one of the tests:

Only add one class with each of your three selectors.

The tests often give very helpful hints leading toward the solution! I hope that helps...

hey, i have trouble understanding this instruction :To get started, we should nest all of our HTML in a div element with the class container-fluid.
greg
@wearenotgroot
Jun 17 2016 12:19
@kinglykidd nesting simply means to put an element(s) inside another
@kinglykidd
<element class="..put class specified">
       ....other elements goes here
</element>

@ImHamzaAnwer
Jun 17 2016 12:20
@kinglykidd yo have to put all your code inside
<div class="container-fluid">

</div>
kinglykidd
@kinglykidd
Jun 17 2016 12:20
right like this : <div>
.containerfluid {
}
</div>
that doesnt seem to be working though
greg
@wearenotgroot
Jun 17 2016 12:21
@kinglykidd container-fluid is a bootstrap class, so no need to create it, just assign/apply it in the div
