fo example, you can target your styles, with classes, or to elements with certain id, or by using other selectors, which mean that css is extremely flexible @JJMin
its powerful tool you need to learn,

the exercise tell you no nest given element in p element @bergmanl13 , you need to read more carefuly, and understand that computer will not try to guess what you mean, you need to do literally everything how exercise tells
and they are worded specificly to point you what you should do

Hi guys, I've got a question about bootstrap, in these tutorials, we are using on class "row" the extra small grid for the cell phone's screen. But on other screens like a notebook, you use the medium grid. Is there a way to unify and use the same grid size for both cell phones and PC's?
Lucas Bergman

what is the p element? i think thats where I'm getting confused
iccomq
@iccomq
Jun 20 2016 00:08
@chim20air the column classes scale up and you can add multiple classes of this kind in one element
ie .col-xs-12 .col-md-8 in one element will choose what to do based on size of screen
@bergmanl13 i meant <p></p>, its p element

@iccomq I know that. But what I mean, is that you have to know if your website is being viewed from a laptop or from a smart phone in order to use .col-xs- or .col-md-. So my question is that if there is a way to use the same class for every kind of screens

Jun 20 2016 00:16
@chim20air honestly i dont know, i dropped bootstrap some time ago, i guess it takes some testing for wesite to ckeck how it will behave on different screens and adjust properly; that or just prepare with using xs's sm's and lg' from the begining so yur prepared, those are mostly used for mobile/tablet/desktop
i guess youd be more lucky with this question in frontend or main chatrooms, there are guys way more experienced with bootstrap @chim20air

@COBBSCODING for the CSS block you have two options. You can either embed it right into your html with <script> </script> tags, and from there open a p { }. That would look like this:

<script>
p {
/ Code here /
}
</script>
If you have a separate script document, just use:
p {
/Code here/
}
And finally, to put it directly into the p... <p style= <!-- the style you want here --> > </p>

@djidrovo1 add a body tag at the top of your html with the class "background-color"
@djidrovo1 then remove the background color class from your jumbotron
@djidrovo1 then select the jumbotron class in your CSS and make the background-color white

Inside your style element, change the h2 selector to .red-text and update the color's value from blue to red.

Does this mean that the heroku submission url can instead be a c9.io url?

Look at these two jQuery statements (Challenge #115: Target a Specific Child of an Element Using jQuery)

$("#right-well").children().css("color", "orange"); <!-- changes the color of font in the right-well -->
$(".target:nth-child(2)").addClass("animated bounce"); <!-- bounces the button (not the text) -->

The first jQuery statement selects the text as children, while the second statement selects the buttons as children. Why?

Access the myStorage JSON object to retrieve the contents of the glove box. Use bracket notation for properties with a space in their name.

// Setup
var myStorage = {
  "car": {
    "inside": {
      "glove box": "maps",
      "passenger seat": "crumbs"
     },
    "outside": {

};

// Only change code below this line

var gloveBoxContents = myStorage.car["inside"].glovebox; // Change this line

@IshtmeetSingh Thanks I will have a look at footer options but its not really a footer so hadnt used it. But setting the height to expand isn't a bad idea, if I can figure out how much the height increases.
