Hi I need help on my pen for my portfolio webpage. How do I get my image to resize to fit the screen in my about section? I tried .img-responsive but it doesn't seem to want to work!
I want my image to respond to my second background image (so that it resizes with the screen and stays in that background image) and also so my <p> text stays inside that same div as well (the about div)
Here is my pen: https://codepen.io/coder7215/pen/YWqemv?editors=1100

@coder7215 Your image won't resize because your CSS sets all images to be 300px wide.
img {
  margin-top: 140px;
  border-radius: 50%;
  border-style: solid;
  border-width: 10px;

@coder7215 You'll need to play around with your grid sizes to get it to the size you want. For example:
<div class="container-fluid" id="about">
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-xs-4" id="selfPhoto">
      <img class="img-responsive" src="http://grsf.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Bailey-Bestul.jpg" alt="Bailey Bestul">

Brownie Points

The number beside your picture on Free Code Camp tells you how many Brownie Points you have.

A user profile picture next to a with Brownie Points score

There are two ways you can get Brownie Points:

  1. Complete challenges - you get one point per challenge you complete
  2. Help other campers in chat - each time you help another camper and they thank you (by typing "thanks @yourname"), you will get a point

Brownie Points help you look like the kind of person who codes a lot, shares relevant links, and helps people.

They also add to your Streak.

HiddenStorys
@HiddenStorys
Jun 21 2016 01:02
@samuelsincera Depends on what you mean by 'job-ready.' I've done a few jobs for some people, throwing together some slideshows, and I also have my own website going that I started about a week ago (I can link you to it, if you'd like.)
Samuel Johnson

Did you design it yourself? If so, I'd love to see your handiwork
HiddenStorys
@HiddenStorys
Jun 21 2016 01:03
@evan153 I tend not to focus too much on the projects from this site, because I'm trying to get through the JS and HTML courses and to the backend, which I need to learn to advance the website I'm building

Also, I'm still on the front page, because I need to learn back end to finish it, but here we go: http://sedezee.com/ The blank spot will eventually be filled with some sign in/register accounts
@samuelsincera Ah, no where near college yet. I'm actually only thirteen.
I write occasionally, so the focus of the website will eventually be worldbuilding.

@samuelsincera That website has been on hold for a while while I attempted to fix a spin off of some code I wrote with others
The website we were basing it off of updated, and called us naughty little kids, even though we had permission to write the code xD
Let me see if I can pull up exactly what they said...

@dhcodes

"
Create a Form Element
You can build web forms that actually submit data to a server using nothing more than pure HTML. You can do this by specifying an action on your form element.

For example:

<form action="/url-where-you-want-to-submit-form-data"></form>

Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element."

@AbdusSamiPatel I would look at the code example in the challenge. Additionally, these instructions will help

Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

So you'll need to create a CSS rule within your <style> tags using smaller-image. Then you'll need to apply that class to the <img> element with the cat pictures. I hope that makes sense.

Joris Boschmans
@jorisboschmans
Jun 21 2016 06:47
@AbdusSamiPatel you can declare a class btween the style tags by adding a dot before the name. eg .smaller-image
then you have to decide what you want to do with every elemnt that has the class. In this case you want the width to be 100px. So: .smaller-image{ width: 100px;}
then you want to add the class to the img that you want to be resized by adding the class in the element: <img class"smaller-image" .... />

@AbdusSamiPatel you do not need to create the CSS rule for img like you have. Replace the img within your <style> tags with .smaller-image
Joris Boschmans
@jorisboschmans
Jun 21 2016 06:53
@AbdusSamiPatel you wrote:
img {
width: 100px;

that means ALL img. if you write:
.smaller-image{
width: 100px;
}
it will only go for the elements with that class

After updateRecords(5439, "tracks", "Take a Chance on Me"), tracks should have "Take a Chance on Me" as the last element.

NEED HELP

If prop does not contain the key "tracks", then update or set the value for that incomplete prop.

If prop does not contain the key "tracks" before you update it, create an empty array before pushing a track to it.

If prop does contain the key "tracks" and its value is non-blank, then push the value onto the end of its existing tracks array.

If value is blank, delete that prop.

var collection = {

Cool :D
So I'm having this problem with my voting app
I'm working on my voting app and I'm trying to show different vote passed on a random url. This is what I have
router.get('/:url', function (req, res, next) {
    url = req.params.url;
    console.log(url);
    return res.render('share-polls');
  });

  router.get('/get-data', function (req, res, next) {
    new Promise(function(resolve, reject) {
      var data;
    Poll.findOne({url: url}, function (err, result) {
      data = result;
      console.log("the result is " + result);
      resolve(data);
    });
  })
    .then((data) => {
      res.json(data);
    });
  });
E.G: you go to this url localhost:3000/polls/7933
Then it should pull the data for that one (the polls data)
But the problem is that when I do so it get me back an html for some reason
This is what I'm doing in the frontend when I go to that url
```
app.controller('viewPoll', ['$scope', '$http', '$window', function ($scope, $http, $window) {
  $scope.data = [];
  $http.get('/polls/get-data', {
  } )
    .then(
      function (respond) {
        $scope.data.push(respond.data);
        console.log(respond.data);
  },
      function (respond) {
  });
}]);
