<label<input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Indoor</label>
Can somebody explain me this?
Will
@Will-is-Coding
Jun 22 2016 00:14
I had never seen the measurement before, but that is what is resizing the div to smaller and making the text exit. Otherwise you need to either do overflow: auto for a scrollbar to fit it all or find the script to auto resize the font
Anders Nicolai Magnussen
@andersnicolaimagnussen
Jun 22 2016 00:14
Your page should have two radio button elements.
Give your radio buttons the name attribute of indoor-outdoor.
Each of your two radio button elements should be nested in its own label element.
Make sure each of your label elements has a closing tag.
One of your radio buttons should have the label indoor.
One of your radio buttons should have the label outdoor.

You can use radio buttons for questions where you want the user to only give you one answer.

Radio buttons are a type of input

Each of your radio buttons should be nested within its own label element.

All related radio buttons should have the same name attribute.

Here's an example of a radio button:

<label><input type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor"> Indoor</label>

Add a pair of radio buttons to your form. One should have the option of indoor and the other should have the option of outdoor.

obentou

Jun 22 2016 00:16
@Will-is-Coding vh is viewport height. What that's saying is that I want a section to be 100% of a viewer's viewport height when they view the page. I'll try removing and playing with it, but I think that might break it a bit...

I just got back into learning how to code, so it's not really a yes or no, @YoungPlutus. I used Treehouse a whole 2 summers ago, but then school started up again and I had to put it down. My account is on hold there, but I finished a lot of the css track :D I think I will start using both equally, but I don't want to take on too much at once. I also like that FFC is more project based. Treehouse isn't, but IMO much much better at explaining things

@redreciever17 .shift() does not take any arguments, and removes and returns the first array element to you, and then by prepending it with return, you basically return the value from the function, which is the objective of this challenge
Chad Green

@aCodingCat I believe what it means is that you need to create a property called "tracks" and set it to an empty array. Something like this:
object.property = []
but with bracket notation

the first person in the line is the first person that goes out of line
the last person to enter a line is the last person to leave the line
AKA "FIFO" or "LILO" first in first out, last in last out
so you don't want to unshift
shift is fine, because that's going to get the first person out, right?
so you need to find something to send that item to the back of the line
what would do that?

@ariefrs you also made no acknowledgement to the "item" argument in your code.
@ariefrs so you are given an array (arr) and a number (item). you need to write code that adds a number (item) to the back of the array, and also removes and returns the first item of the array.

@RealTruth you don't have to wrap css styles in style tag in external css link, just do belo

var myStr = "Here is a backlash: \.\\\n\t\t Here is a new line with two tabs."; // Change this line

What am I doing wrong here? It's these two problems below I don't understand.

myStr should have encoded text with the proper escape sequences and spacing.
myStr should not have any spaces in between consecutive escape sequences.

@SteveLongoria You have ot check if the input contains both tracks and value, if not, check if there's a value or not.

if(value!=="" && prop=="tracks")
 collection[id].tracks.push(value);
  else if (value !=="")
  collection[id][prop]=value;
  else if(value==="")
    delete collection[id][prop];

An element's margin controls the amount of space between an element's border and surrounding elements.

If you set an element's margin to a negative value, the element will grow larger.

Try to set the margin to a negative value like the one for the red box.

Change the margin of the green box to -15px, so it fills the entire horizontal width of the yellow box around it.

Pretty sure im right?

Instructions

Change the order of logic in the function so that it will return the correct statements in all cases.
function orderMyLogic(val) {
  if (val > 10) {
    return "Greater than 10";
  }
  else if (val >= 6  && val <= 10){
    return "Less Than 10";
  }
    else if (val < 5) {
    return "Less than 5";
  } else {
    return "Greater than or equal to 10";
  }
}

// Change this value to test
orderMyLogic(11);

Still got these errors :
orderMyLogic(4) should return "Less than 5"
orderMyLogic(6) should return "Less than 10"
orderMyLogic(11) should return "Greater than or equal to 10"

@IshtmeetSingh just ones involving padding/margin. I just went in to mess with my accessibility settings in chrome, and the lesson passed on all but the top margin values. which is why I suggested @mayuri14 to just skip those lessons and do them later on an actual computer. I'd be nice if it could work on mobile tho so I could do these while bored at work

Hello everyone, I'm going through "Add Elements within your Bootstrap Wells" and it told me to "Nest three button elements within each of your div elements with class well" but I have no idea what and how to do so. I appreciate if anyone could give me advice about this!

<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<div class="well">
<div class = "button">

Ishtmeet Singh
@IshtmeetSingh
Jun 22 2016 08:29
@lunayyko You have to nest 3 button elements inside 'each' well class. like this

@Vicktorius messing up with your code, wait pls, it's better to give boootstraprow and column classes to divs that contains nested divs, makes it responsive.
@zarwaemaan means you have to nest/put each of the radio buttons, inside it's own <label> element.

Leif
@swedeosberg
Jun 22 2016 09:13
Good morning all. I'm playing around with my tribute page and rehashing the lessons for bootstrap. I'm curious how img-responsive is implemented if the class isn't referenced in CSS (or do I need to do that)? I chose the bootstrap option, but I'm unable to know whether or not it will work on a mobile device.
hnry
@hnry
Jun 22 2016 09:13
bootstrap is just css, it's pre-written css that you import into your project @swedeosberg
so img-responsive is implemented, since bootstrap implements it
Leif
@swedeosberg
Jun 22 2016 09:14
Okay. So by choosing the bootstrap option in codeine, it automatically references to pre-written CSS (and I just can't see it)?

@swedeosberg if you are working on code pen, you just need to add bootstrap from settings, and it will work. If you're working on your local machine, you might want to add a link to the CDN to use that.

"Your h2 element should have the class red-text.
Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red."
