@Campcoder40 , LONG answer (lol) My goal is to change careers. I started college years ago for 'computer programming, learned DBase and Cobol. Then needed $ and ended up in the tech support\helpdesk world for 15 yrs. I /quit working 2 years ago and have been leatherworking. I had an itch a few months ago and decided to get back to code. Much has changed. I did a lot of research and decided that I want to get into Full Stack dev. I am more interested in backend, but I need to learn it all. Goal? All of Free Code School, then get a job or freelance with what I learn. I am really enjoying this!
@Campcoder40 and, all I have is free time so I can dedicate myself to this Full Time ☺

Give the text input in your form the class form-control.
I have problem understanding this instruction.... What am i suppose to do exactly here?
I tried giving the class form-control, it does change the view but there is something wrong that I cant put my finger on....
Here is my code...
<input class="form-control" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>

<style>

.pink-text {

:point_right: challenge create a bulleted unordered list [wiki]

Challenge Create a Bulleted Underscore List

HTML has a special element for creating unordered lists, or bullet point-style lists.

Unordered lists start with a <ul> element. Then they contain some number of <li> elements.

For example:

<ul>
  <li>milk</li>
  <li>cheese</li>
</ul>

would create a bullet point-style list of "milk" and "cheese".

Tori :)
@Victorious123
Jun 26 2016 05:03
@lil0homie1 At the very top you put this: <--Only change code above this line-->
and dont put anything at the bottom
did that not work 4 you before? @lil0homie1
try to copy and paste this @lil0homie1
<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#left-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="left-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target1">#target1</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target2">#target2</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target3">#target3</button>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#right-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="right-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target4">#target4</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target5">#target5</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target6">#target6</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
but at the very top put this:
<--Only change code above this line-->

So this is what it would look like: @lil0homie1 <!--Only change code above this line-->

<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#left-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="left-well">

<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target2">#target2</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target3">#target3</button>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#right-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="right-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target4">#target4</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target5">#target5</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target6">#target6</button>
</div>
</div>

several ways, easiest is to give it explicit width and margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;

@smariecode , The element which wraps the something is the parent of that something.

<div class="main">
  <p class="text">  lorem ipsum </p>
</div>

Here div.main is the parent of the paragraph element.

body is the parent of all html elements and html is the parent of whole structure With head and body as it's children.
Sandra Marie
@smariecode

so in this case, <a href="#"><img class="img-responsive"src="http://womewhere.com/"></a> ,,,, is the <a href a parent of img ?

Algorithm No Repeats Please

Problem Explanation:

This task requires us to look at each possible permutation of a string. This can be done using a recursion function, but it is not the only way. A common interview question is building a function which collects all permutations of a string. So there is no shortage of tutorials out there on how to do this, in many different code languages.

:pencil: read more about algorithm no repeats please on the FCC Wiki

@prakashyadav008 I would say take some courses online if you have free time. Start off with Artificial Intelligence and then move to some Machine Learning course. When you get familiar with the concepts, just try out some online projects or you can participate in some contests online, for eg: Kaggle.com
@prakashyadav008 The more practical work, projects you do the better you will get. And it is really helpful for your resume as well

Byronsargeant
@Byronsargeant
Jun 26 2016 09:14
@Jhollond dont modify the bootstrap css add a custom style sheet and link it after the bootstrap use max width 450px this can also be achieved using JQuery but probably not necessary!
@media (max-width:450px){/Class name/{/properties/}}

Byronsargeant
@Byronsargeant
Jun 26 2016 09:18
modify the existing bootstrap classes in the custom css within the media query!
that sounds like it could be padding
use chrome or firefox developer tools inspect element to see which class is causing the gap
you can temporarily make the change in the css when inspecting element! Once you have it right add that style to your custom styles

@Jhollond you really dont need to know what style sheet it is in as you will not be modifying that sheet. You can just duplicate the style from the inspect element remove the classes and properties you are NOT changing, add what class/properties you are adding or changing! be mindful that many classes are used in multiple places. So you may affect other pages or page elements

@Byronsargeant yeah it seems .container-fluid is outdated, bootstrap just uses .container for 3.0 now, maybe that will fix my problem

Hi I was doing...
https://www.freecodecamp.com/challenges/caesars-cipher

function rot13(str) {

  var strArrWord = str.split(" ");
  var strArr = "";

  for(var i = 0;i < strArrWord.length; i++){
    console.log(strArrWord);
    //["SERR", "PBQR", "PNZC"]

    console.log(strArrWord[i]);
    //SERR

    for(var j = 0; j < strArrWord[i].length; j++){
      console.log(strArrWord[i][j]);
      //S

      var strArrNum = strArrWord[i].charCodeAt(j);
      console.log(strArrNum);
      //83

      strArr += String.fromCharCode(strArrNum-13);
    }

    strArr += " ";
    console.log(strArr);
    //F8EE
  }

  return strArr;
}

// Change the inputs below to test
rot13("SERR PBQR PNZC");

As you can see my outputs aren't correct. Can someone suggest a way to fix it.

maybe someone can help my with this padding error
Use Clockwise Notation to give the ".green-box" class a padding of 40px on its top and left side, but only 20px on its bottom and right side.
padding: 40px; 20px; 20px; 40px;
