  • where are the h2, img, & p elements (2)?
Ahmed Tarek

Aug 13 2016 00:05
@PeteyNoSocks you should add class="smaller-image" to the <img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. ">
so it would be like this
<img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. " class="smaller-image">

hey guys, what programs/languages would I need for making applications like the ones we build for projects but for off-line? Say, for eg, I wanted to make aoo like the pomodoro clock but to run offline, what would i use in place of javascript?

Aug 13 2016 00:06

@Radascript javascript is used offline and online
html, css and javascript
and if you want jquery you can download the file and link it in your htm
html
Rada

Aug 13 2016 00:07
@ahmedtarek2134 so what if I want it to not open in browser. Like you know how different applications will open their own window
I want it to open its own little window and do its thing

what are you talking about?
if you know the select name and the already have the class's css done for you.
you just need to $('your selector').addClass('your class');
I don't know how to put it in anything simpler for you.
if there are already classes of well assigned to your divs
that's all you need to do

hi, @vamsikrishna139 -- rather than using a class or using inline styles, you can also style by element in your <style> section,
as an example, i will make my h2 elements size 30px
<style>
h2 {
font-size: 30px
}
</style>

<h2>CatPhotoApp</h2>
@vamsikrishna139 now my h2 will be 30px. Use the same way, targeting by element (NOTE: no . in front of the element in the <style> section, . goes in front of classes!), to set your p elements to 16px :blush:

Nest all of your radio buttons inside one div with the class row.
Nest each of your radio buttons inside its own div with the class col-xs-6.
Make sure each of your div elements has a closing tag. Can anyone help me solve the second one.

Algorithm Pairwise

:triangular_flag_on_post: Remember to use Read-Search-Ask if you get stuck. Try to pair program :busts_in_silhouette: and write your own code :pencil:

:checkered_flag: Problem Explanation:

The program should look for pairs of numbers in the array whose sum equal the second argument arg. Then instead of adding those numbers up, their indices are to be added.

Remember that arrays start at index 0 and go from there so from [1,4,2,3,0,5] if we switch to their indices it would be [0,1,2,3,4,5]. Then, we add indices 1 + 2 + 3 + 5 and we get 11. That is what we need to return.

:point_right: challenge change text inside an element using jquery [wiki]

Change Text Inside an Element Using jQuery

Using jQuery, you can change the text between the start and end tags of an element. You can even change HTML markup.

jQuery has a function called .html() that lets you add HTML tags and text within an element. Any content previously within the element will be completely replaced with the content you provide using this function.

Here's how you would rewrite and italicize the text of our heading:

$("h3").html("<em>jQuery Funhouse</em>");

jQuery also has a similar function called .text() that only alters text without adding tags. So when using .html() please remember that you will be editing the whole markup and not just the text.

Like I said before, I went with, An idiot holding a lantern. It accepted it and changed it to the cat thing in the next challenge.
I don't even know. That was ages ago and my brain power stopped an hour ago.

@edokara9 I don't think there's any problem with your code. Just reload your page, and re-run.

Remember to use # as your a element's href property in order to turn it into a dead link.

Place the existing image element within an anchor element.

Once you've done this, hover over your image with your cursor. Your cursor's normal pointer should become the link clicking pointer. The photo is now a link.

turn an img into a link
thats the quest
