@OwenHertz you can use col-s-offset-4, just saw on stackoverflow that offset is only for s and above
that will put an empty section before the img @OwenHertz
so class="img-responsive col-md-4 col-md-offset-4"
obviously the size you use will be up to you

  • we need to use the format/syntax of the example code, here:

    <style>
    .blue-text {
      color: blue;
    }
    </style>
  • also, we need to have an h2element (missing) to apply the color, like this:
    <h2 class="blue-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:23 UTC
@mwalters13 the class should be in the same tag as the type, you don't need a separate button

Isaac Sampson
@IsaacSampson
Aug 28 2016 00:24 UTC
?
Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:24 UTC
ok the second instruction wants you to add an i element
paste the given i element between the button tags @mwalters13
Myron Walters

so you don't have to declare button again

Hi guys
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:27 UTC
give the text input
in your form the class form-control
Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:27 UTC
just like you did for the button tag
the class within the first input tag @mwalters13
Isaac Sampson
@IsaacSampson
Aug 28 2016 00:28 UTC
Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red. why is this
Moisés Man
@moigithub
Aug 28 2016 00:29 UTC
ur style block should be above ur h2 probably ? @IsaacSampson
Isaac Sampson
@IsaacSampson
Aug 28 2016 00:29 UTC
what is that?
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:29 UTC
after "text"
Moisés Man
@moigithub
Aug 28 2016 00:30 UTC
also applying class to the element (h2) should be on quotes @IsaacSampson
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:30 UTC
do I put input = "form-control"?
Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:30 UTC
@mwalters13 class="form-control"
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:30 UTC
don't need to declare input?
lol this is confusing
Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:31 UTC
it's already within the input tag, you'd don't need to be declaring another input
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:31 UTC
Oh the <input type = "" class = "" since the input is declared in the beginning it doesnt have to be declared again?
Margaret
@Margaret2
Aug 28 2016 00:32 UTC
yeah
Myron Walters
@mwalters13
Aug 28 2016 00:32 UTC
so (input type) is not like together its more like (input) = (type)(class)

@FireFalcon1155 try longer before you ask for help, try to carefully read the instructions and do exactly what they say, be determined to figure it out yourself no matter how long it takes you. Also, you can search around w3schools or other websites, or read books to understand the concepts better. Does that help at all?

Please tell me I didn't break this site! I was trying to add font-awesome based on a tutorial I found, and added this code to functions.php. Now I can't access the site. Here's the site:
http://www.jacketjacques.ca/SITE_sexted.org/ This is the code:
function wpb_load_fa() {
wp_enqueue_style( 'wpb-fa', 'https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.4.0/css/font-awesome.min.css' );
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'wpb_load_fa' );

  • using Shift + enter will give you additional line feeds (space) for pasting your code. also, the backticks (`) key is located to the left of the number one (#1) key.
  • further, you may find the two buttons (chat/compose & markdown - the chat/compose button alternates modes) to the right of the text entry area helpful.
  • you can also edit (reply, quote, edit, delete) text after it's been entered by clicking on the three (3) dots to the right of the text entry area (it will appear when you hover to the right of the time stamp). or, you can press the up arrow/key.

@apalm1341 I think it's because you're translating the elements in the box (the h1 and h3) down 200px, but not the box itself, so it appears higher than it "should"
try adding the same translate property to .box and see if that fixes it
Aaron
@apalm1341

okay. So, how do you recommend fixing that?

@codingisfun11 Hi. you need assigne object.key.key["key"] to your variable.

it will be one line: var yourVar = storage.car.inside["box"]; //just example

@codingisfun11 You've got a few steps to go... like @qualitymanifest said, you're missing a level between the car and the glove box. Also, why are you bringing crumbs into the picture?

@sjmartinezv21 it looks like you haven't tried anything?
Try giving your form, which now has the id attribute of cat-photo-form, a green background.
Note that inside your style element, you always reference classes by putting a . in front of their names. You always reference ids by putting a # in front of their names.

what is wrong in this code? ```function nextInLine(arr, item) {
// Your code here
arr.push();
arr.shift();

return shift;// Change this line
}
nextInLine();

I have to write a function nextInLine which takes an array (arr) and a number (item) as arguments. Add the number to the end of the array, then remove the first element of array. The nextInLine function should then return the element that was removed
DJ
@qualitymanifest
Aug 28 2016 05:50 UTC
@Divya063 you're not pushing anything. you need to push item into arr. you then need to return the result of arr.shift().

your arr.shift() is correct, but you need to do something with it. you could assign it to a variable like var something = arr.shift() and then return that variable

Okay

function nextInLine(arr, item) {
// Your code here
arr.push(1);
var me=arr.shift();

return me;// Change this line
}
nextInLine();

@qualitymanifest
Should I assign a var to push too?
DJ
@qualitymanifest
Aug 28 2016 06:02 UTC
@Divya063 you got the shift correct. but like i said you need to push item into arr. not some random, specific number.
i'm also not sure why you have an empty function call here: nextInLine(); that doesn't need to be there, and it's giving you the error because you're not supplying the function the arguments it is looking for. just delete that line

Your pink-text class declaration should have the !important keyword to override all other declarations.

<style>
body {
background-color: black;
font-family: Monospace;
color: green;
}

orange-text {

color: orange;

}

.pink-text {
color: pink;
}
.blue-text {
color: blue;
}
</style>

<h1 !important="pink-text" id="orange-text" class="pink-text blue-text" style="color: white">Hello World!</h1>

Use a CSS Class to Style an Element @DarrenfJ
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Aug 28 2016 07:41 UTC
@drummeo ok, so it wants you to change the sample CSS for class to red.. its given as blue
so you have to change the class name both in the CSS section (the part between the <style></style> tags) and in the html below (the part that has class="blue-text")

Darth Skywalker
@adityaparab
Aug 28 2016 07:58 UTC

@J4yKay : You can, however, target the buttons using # since the word target is common in all the IDs. You can do so like

and it will still pass your tests :D

@sergey-zhuravel : Not really.

we ain't targetting all the buttons WITH id="target". It will return you an empty set. Since there is not element that has id="target".

We are targetting elements where id BEGINS with "target" [id^="target"] notice that little ^ before the = sign. :D

[id^="target"] will select ALL the elements where id BEGINS with "target" and then target 2nd child

@wearenotgroot the task asked is to make it so that lobster is not shown and the text degrades to monospace font family

when you have this declared, if for some reason Lobster isnt available to you it will degrade to Monospace

font-family: Lobster, Monospace;

if the first few font arent available it will always degrade to the ones after the comma
