I'm a little condused as well. I'm at the point where I should be implementing the "Lobster" font for h2, howecver when I type "font-family: Lobster;" it is not detecting it as a font. I have copied and pasted the snippet that it has provided me, linking to the Lobster font.

Hi everyone, Hope everyone is doing great. I have a strange dilemma, I was at the challenge where you have to convert Celsius To Fahrenheit . I was supposed to write the algorithm from scratch and I did it and passed the challenge just by typing in the formula. The "problem" here is that I don't seem to understand how the variables were declared or how the values were assigned to Celsius. I passed it not knowing the mechanics and that's dangerous. So I'm pasting the code here, Please tell me how just 'writing this conversion formula helped me pass the challenge' :
function convertToF(celsius) {
var fahrenheit;
// Only change code below this line
// Only change code above this line
return fahrenheit = celsius *9/5+32;
}
// Change the inputs below to test your code
convertToF(30);

Now let's change the color of some of our text.

We can do this by changing the style of your h2 element.

The style that is responsible for the color of an element's text is the "color" style.

Here's how you would set your h2 element's text color to blue:

<h2 style="color: blue">CatPhotoApp</h2>

Change your h2 element's style so that its text color is red.

$("#submit").on("click", function() {

@MITRAPOLIS image elements are self closing elements

<img src="...">

so you don't need a separate </img> closing tag, as you normally div with elements like <div> or <p>

@DrAponte
I can’t manage to nest my HTML elements within my “container-fluid” class. Here’s my code: <div class="container-fluid">

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
</div>
The instructions say: Make sure you have nested all HTML elements in .container-fluid.
But idk what I’m doing wrong.

@Youwenrui well I don't understand chinese, but looking at the instructions, i think you need the fa-thumbs-up class, not fa-info-circle

增加一个 i 元素包含 class 属性 fa 和 fa-thumbs-up。
你的 fa-thumbs-up 图标应放置在 Like 按钮中

@hamiefuzzy In that lesson, you need to define a smaller-image class in the <style> tags (classes start with a period there, check the example), and then add the class to your <img> element in your html with the class attribute, like this: <img class="smaller-image" src="etc">

@avmethod okay, so this is your main instruction

Apply the red-text class to your h2 and p elements.

you need a red-text class that sets the color to red, and then apply the class to the h2 and the p elements

Stephen Brace
@avmethod
Sep 07 2016 03:57
@Manish-Giri Ok
Manish Giri
@Manish-Giri
Sep 07 2016 03:57

@avmethod you create a class this way

.example-class {
color: pink;
}

and then you apply this class to your HTML elements

<div class="example-class">some text</div>
@avmethod these are just examples, but you should be able to plug in the actual values that are needed for this challenge

Hey everyone. I started my Portfolio Project (http://codepen.io/igloo-codes/pen/BLyOBB?editors=1100). I made my fixed-navigation bar first, added three <divs> below with different background-colors. Issue: Right below the navbar background-color stays white instead of purple. What can I do to build my page directly below the navbar so that the navbar does not overlap with any content? Thanks.

@igloo-codes you have an errant closing curly brace before your #about class in your CSS that's causing problems
