@qpqp-polo .class { <attribute>: <value>; }
so if you want to make a class called "blue-text" that sets the color to blue, it'd look like .blue-text { color: blue; }
@qpqp-polo you apply a class to an HTML element by setting its "class" attribute in the opening tag <p class="blue-text">some blue text</p>

Hi... I don't understand this Nest both of your div elements with the class "col-xs-6" within your div element with the class "row".

Heres the code I'm trying to work on

<div class="container-fluid">

<div class="row">
<div class="well" "col-xs-6">
</div>

I didn't meet "Give your h1 element the id of orange-text." and "Your h1 element should be orange."

@anilpaliwal on codepen I usually just stick everything I would put in the body tag inside the HTML section. Don't worry about the header tag stuff. If you want to give your project a title there is a separate title section above your code.
@ramsfan google is a developers best friend! But the more you make things, the easier it is to remember things. Eventually you get to the point where you spend a little bit of time getting a new project off the ground from your head and only look up things as you need it

@ramsfan taking notes isn't a bad idea either. Especially if you can't work in tandem with the material you're reading/watching. But I would focus on working on things. Write things down for emphasis. Try really hard to figure out something on your own and if you get completely stumped, start looking for solutions online or post for help in here!

Let's see what happens when we create a class that makes text pink, then apply it to an element. Will our class override the body element's color: green; CSS property?

Create a CSS class called pink-text that gives an element the color pink.

Give your h1 element the class of pink-text.

Run tests (ctrl + enter)

<style>
body {
background-color: black;
font-family: Monospace;
color: green;

}

First, add a new image below the existing one. Set its src attribute to https://bit.ly/fcc-running-cats.

It would be great if this image could be exactly the width of our phone's screen.

Fortunately, with Bootstrap, all we need to do is add the img-responsive class to your image. Do this, and the image should perfectly fit the width of your page.

I’m wondering if it is possible to do this challenge usinig my current methodology? Technically, my code works, but it doesn’t maintain the original type of the input array. I’m not sure how to fix this issue though, without having to use a totally different process.

@lighthou5e just try to open and close your html tags first then indent them just to visualize who is the parent tag and its childrens. then start applying the css classes you want. that way you are sure that u close all tags

Hey guys am stuck with challenge

Now let's change the color of some of our text.

We can do this by changing the style of your h2 element.

The style that is responsible for the color of an element's text is the "color" style.

Here's how you would set your h2 element's text color to blue:

<h2 style="color: blue">CatPhotoApp</h2>

Change your h2 element's style so that its text color is red.

Sep 16 2016 12:55
First you need put addClass instead of addclass. C capitalletter. @ravi6112

Your h2 element should use the font Lobster.
Your h2 element should degrade to the font Monospace when Lobster is not available.
Comment out your call to Google for the Lobster font by putting <!-- in front of it. Be sure to close your comment by adding -->.
how to make it use the lobster but at the same time comment it... wtf

hi, it would not let me pass the test, says that your image should be 100 pixels wide. browser zoom should be at 100% I've just checked browser zoom, it is ok and I do not think there's something wrong with code:<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}
img
.smaller-image {width: 100px;}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
