GlobalDevelopment

@eddies909 I think it means border, so on the class thick-green-border add the following
.thick-green-border {
10px solid green;
}
.thick-green-border {
border: 10px solid green;
}
@eddies909 That should work
Kaloyan K
@Kaloyan-K
Oct 04 2016 00:22 UTC
@eddies909 I just did this like so:
.thick-green-border {

border-width: 10px;
border-style: solid;
}
GlobalDevelopment

Oct 04 2016 00:22 UTC

Oct 04 2016 00:23 UTC

GlobalDevelopment
@GlobalDevelopment2016
Oct 04 2016 00:23 UTC
@Kaloyan-K Yes truw
@eddies909 If your talking to mean, you should do the second one with the semi-color
semi-colon*
Eddie
@eddies909

@GlobalDevelopment2016 I meant about what you said to me about keeping code
GlobalDevelopment
@GlobalDevelopment2016
Oct 04 2016 00:32 UTC
@Kaloyan-K Basically I worked for a company for almost 2 years, creating websites. Websites are built on 3 may sections, a header, body-content and footer. It only takes soo long before you come accross sites with other headers or footers or sections, so i keep all the unique code and i use it again where i can
@Kaloyan-K Because of this, I can build a decent looking website in about a week passing all testing, responsiveness and across platform

How is this done please help. Your img element should have the class smaller-image.
Your image should be 100 pixels wide. Browser zoom should be at 100%.
GlobalDevelopment
@GlobalDevelopment2016
Oct 04 2016 00:54 UTC
@BlackEyeFlame Add a class of smaller-image and then set the width of 100% on the class in css
<img class="smaller-image" src="#"/>
.smaller-image {
width: 100%;
}
Please note I put both the html and css together

Hey group, stuck like last hour with checkboxes..... anyone help me out see below
Your page should have three checkbox elements.
Each of your three checkbox elements should be nested in its own label element.
Make sure each of your label elements has a closing tag.
Give your checkboxes the name attribute of personality

@marclennis you said that you want:

Add an h4 element to each of your <div class="col-xs-6">

This means that for every <div> with class col-xs-6- there should be an h4 inside. Something like:

<div class="col-xs-6>
    <h4></h4>

Your div element should have the class container-fluid.

my first two is cleared but cant get the last one

Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Oct 04 2016 01:53 UTC
@sweetsnaccs nesting means " puttin inside".
So you need to place your existing html tag inside a div with classcontainer-fluid
syntax exeample:

@xSpideyx you misunderstood the syntax for the switch statment:
Consider maybe reading this https://developer.mozilla.org/it/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Statements/switch

As an example consider this:

switch (val) {
  case 1:
     answer = "one";
     break;
  case 2:
     answer = "two";
     break;
}

Hi there!
Does anyone have the answer for 24?
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Oct 04 2016 02:23 UTC

@c0d0er By a first look I can say that it may be caused by .append and .prepend.

Using those methods will force the passed value as first; that's why you see the online on top, regardless of the offline/online selection.
As a matter of fact I think the button works since once clicked the channels are filtered...
It's just that the online one are forced to be top by the .prepend method...

@c0d0er you may want to consider when obtaining the data from the API to append them in the div. To avoid any button functionality.
Sometghin like: (if the channel is offline).append(#offlineDiv)

But there are countless way to achieve the same :)

Alright folks! I am lost with trying to pass this exercise and I am getting lost. Here's what I have to do: Nest your first image and your h2 element within a single <div class="row"> element. Nest your h2 element within a <div class="col-xs-8"> and your image in a <div class="col-xs-4"> so that they are on the same line.

Here is my code: <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;

What am I doing wrong here?

Create a CSS class called pink-text that gives an element the color pink.

Give your h1 element the class of pink-text.

Run tests (ctrl + enter)
Reset Help Bug
Your h1 element should have the class pink-text.
Your <style> should have a pink-text CSS class with its color set to pink.
Your h1 element should be pink.

<style>

color: red;
}
</style>

<h2> class="red-text"</h2>

<p>Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

You can see that we've created a CSS class called blue-text within the <style> tag.

You can apply a class to an HTML element like this:

<h2 class="blue-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

Note that in your CSS style element, classes should start with a period. In your HTML elements' class declarations, classes shouldn't start with a period.

Inside your style element, change the h2 selector to .red-text and update the color's value from blue to red.

Give your h2 element the class attribute with a value of 'red-text'.

im so confused.

Only add one class with each of your three selectors.
Your #target1 element should have the classes animated‚ shake and btn-primary.

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#target1").addClass("animated shake");
$("button");
$(".btn");

});
</script>

<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#left-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="left-well">
<button class="btn-primary">#target1</button>

Your image should have a border radius of 50%, making it perfectly circular.
Be sure to use a percentage instead of a pixel value.

Help me

border-radius: ...px;
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Oct 04 2016 05:09 UTC
@phuvu3725 it should just be {border-radius: 50%;} or something like that no? Do they give an example in the exercise?

@phuvu3725
Oct 04 2016 05:10 UTC
yes its correct. 50%, but why @DarrenfJ
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Oct 04 2016 05:14 UTC
if you imagined you were doing a curve around the length of a 'box' that your border sat in.. 50% would be half the length making it circle if it went all the way around... the length of a 'box'that a border radius was in would be it's diameter.. but for radius % you are declaring it 's radius...

Here's the code but it isn't really an 'image'. It's more of a white space for some text to go later on.
    position: relative;
    height: 200px;
    width: 500px;
    border-radius: 5px;
    bottom: 50px;

@aviTwito That page looks like it was done with Bootstrap and putting anything in a <div class="container"> puts that spacing on sides. When you go to small screen like phone it goes away.

@aviTwito container is with the padding automatically, container-fluid is without. On small screen that padding will disappear. the example page used container.
