Understand what container-fluid means first. Here's a quick copy paste
.container has one fixed width for each screen size in bootstrap (xs,sm,md,lg); .container-fluid expands to fill the available width.

@Girzima @Monicalada I just read the info for this problem and I think it's not sufficient
this is why so many people come here to ask about it
the info doesn't include an example of using <h2 class="my-class">my text</h2>

It's pretty straight forward if you read every word. Might be a bit much for new people, I guess
Richard Smith
@r1chard5mith
Oct 08 2016 00:58
for googling, always try mdn
ie; "mdn class" - you get the mozilla docs and they are the best
@Girzima the page does not include the word 'class'
pretty unfair considering that's what you need to type
@LucioGamingZ href="#"
LucioGamingZ

Girzima
@Girzima
Oct 08 2016 01:01
Why should class be included?
It states what inline styling is and it explains how to do your style tags, then it says remove your inline and target the element

Your h2 element should use the font Lobster.
Your h2 element should degrade to the font Monospace when Lobster is not available.
Comment out your call to Google for the Lobster font by putting <!-- in front of it. Be sure to close your comment by adding -->.

Trying to work on the Diff Two Arrays project. For some reason, my code returns a few variables I don't know about.

function diffArray(arr1, arr2) {
  var newArr = [];
  // Same, same; but different.
  var longestArray;
  if (arr1.length > arr2.length) {
    longestArray = arr1.length;
  }
  if (arr2.length > arr1.length) {

  }
  for (i = 0; i < longestArray; i++) {
    if (arr1[i] !== arr2[i]) {
      newArr.unshift(arr1[i]);
    }
    if (arr2[i] !== arr1[i]) {
      newArr.unshift(arr2[i]);
    }
  }
  return newArr;
}

diffArray([1, 2, 3, 5], [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]);

@Calvoxel Look at the suggested links in that problem. indexOf will help you to determine if an item is in an array. filter will help you put items in an array if they pass some test (like is or is not in both arrays).

Hey guys, so a bit stumped. At the 'form element' lesson (35 I think). I'm told to nest the form "action" in the form "element" but I don't have and wasn't instructed to code an additional form element apart from the input box I had coded in during lesson 34. Thus, I keep getting part B and C but not A. Any advice?

hey guys i got a somewhat stupid question. im in the bootstraps tutorial part, and i see i need to use some pre defined classes in it, which i havent defined in my code. can anyone tell me where are the classes defined ? :worried:
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Oct 08 2016 04:52
they come from bootstrap
JordanPPowell
@JordanPPowell
Oct 08 2016 04:52
@cyber1998 bootstrap has its own classes preset, so once you have called bootstrap you dont need to set them in css
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Oct 08 2016 04:53
its a little confusing because in the challenges you're not importing bootstrap, i guess its just implied it's there
but in actual projects you need to import the css, just like you do for the Google fonts
JordanPPowell
@JordanPPowell
Oct 08 2016 04:53
like you could go <h2 class="text-center"< ohp </h2> without having made that class in your css style since it exists in bootstrap
Cyber Naskar
@cyber1998
Oct 08 2016 04:53
ahh. so its in that little link for bootstraps which was automatically implemented?
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Oct 08 2016 04:53
ah, they actually mention this
in the challenge Use Responsive Design with Bootstrap Containers
You can add Bootstrap to any app by adding the following code to the top of your HTML:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.1/css/bootstrap.min.css"/>

In this case, we've already added it for you to this page behind the scenes.
so when you add that css you get access to all those predefined classes like container-fluid, like @JordanPPowell mentioned
Cyber Naskar
@cyber1998
Oct 08 2016 04:55
oh. Thank you so much! :D
JordanPPowell
@JordanPPowell
Oct 08 2016 04:55
minus my typo haha
@coymeetsworld when you submitted projects, did you ever go back and fix them up to make them look more appealing ?
@coymeetsworld I meet the requirements to submit a few....but I know that I want to make them look better at some point lol
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Oct 08 2016 05:00
yes definitely
my projects all looked terrible
once i finished tic-tac-toe i took a break from FCC for about 2 months or so to learn more CSS and redesign most of my pages
then did Simon and got my front end cert
my D3 projects aren't that good either, idk if i'll go back for them or not though
rather get to React and Node

case 3:
case 4:
case 5:
case 6:

case 9:
case 10:

case "Q":

}

return count;
// Only change code above this line
}

// Add/remove calls to test your function.
// Note: Only the last will display
cc(2); cc(3); cc(7); cc('K'); cc('A');
@coymeetsworld

Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Oct 08 2016 05:02
so count should stay an integer
and the only thing you do inside the switch statement is modify it, increment by 1, decrement by 1, or leave alone based on the card
then, after the switch you evaluate the number and determine whether or not to print out bet or hold
the idea is you're keeping a running count
the number can go up and down
May
@xSpideyx

@roshnisubudhi You want to look for the <input type="text"> element (and anything else they mention) and wrap it in a <form> element. That <form> should have the action attribute they list, so <form action="/submit-cat-photo>

@GetBig33 "Then use jQuery's .addClass() function to add the classes animated and shake."
you've got $("button").addClass("animated bounce");
@GetBig33 but first you have to do this: "First, let's target your div elements with the class well by using the $(".well") selector."
so add another line pretty similar to that one you have above from the last exercise.. and make it select the class 'well' (".well")... do the addClass and have it add "animate shake" inside the ()

has anyone else experienced typing in code correctly, but the code not take? I check by moving forward in the "Map" section to see if I typed the code correctly, and I did. It just won't take. My browser setting is at 100%. This is really frustrating.
