@Personacode ehm you replaced src with class. If tou want to add a class to your HTML. You just need to add the tag class="classname" inside your HTML tags
slri
@slri
Oct 11 2016 00:01
@jawaka72 all the stuff from the style tag should go into the css tab
@jawaka72 when you move it there, delete the style tag in the html tab
@jawaka72 to align your img tag, add the class "text-center" to it if you're using bootstrap; if not, in the css tab add this:
img { text-align: center; }

Hey can anyone help me with my dropdown menu please? It's starting to get really annoying lol.
ive done this before but i cant figure out why its not working. im replicating an example of a dropdown button but i want to apply the technique to my navbar link. heres the html/css:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>

ul {
    list-style-type: none;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    overflow: hidden;
    background-color: #333;
}

li {
    float: left;
}

li a {
    display: block;
    color: powderblue;
    text-align: center;
    padding: 7px 7px;
    text-decoration: none;
}

li a:hover {
    background-color: #111;
}

.dropbtn {
    background-color: #4CAF50;
    color: white;
    padding: 16px;
    font-size: 16px;
    border: none;
    cursor: pointer;
}

.dropdown {
    position: relative;
    display: inline-block;
}

.dropdown-content {
    display: none;
    position: absolute;
    background-color: #f9f9f9;
    min-width: 160px;
    box-shadow: 0px 8px 16px 0px rgba(0,0,0,0.2);
}

.dropdown-content a {
    color: black;
    padding: 12px 16px;
    text-decoration: none;
    display: block;
}

.dropdown-content a:hover {background-color: #f1f1f1}

.dropdown:hover .dropdown-content {
    display: block;
}

.dropdown:hover .dropbtn {
    background-color: #3e8e41;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>

<h2>Hoverable Dropdown</h2>
<p>Move the mouse over the button to open the dropdown menu.</p>

<ul>
  <li class='dropdown'>
    <a href='#' class='dropbtn'>Dropdown</a>
    <div class="dropdown-content">
      <a href="#">Link 1</a>
      <a href="#">Link 2</a>
      <a href="#">Link 3</a>
    </div>
  </li>
</ul>

</body>
</html>

any help would be appreciated

the grid system is designed to be used like a table so each horizontal row is a row with cells which grouped vertically is known as columns, so wrap any col-sm-xx in a row class but in each row the max width is 12 columns so you can do for example col-sm-6 with another one because they make 12

<style>
.smaller-image {
width:100px;
}
</style>
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>

<img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. ">

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

@seitzste your .smaller-image code is correct but you still need to add the class to the image to worm

Endie

2 Col-md-6 splits it in halve
But, the images has to be responsive
StrategyIsKey23
@23beyblade
Oct 11 2016 01:30
Ok can the images be default inline or do i have to make them block?
Endie
@endiee
Oct 11 2016 01:32
Not 100% sure but if im not mistaken it doesnt matter because the parent is alreadt filling 50%. So they will be next to each other if that is what you wanf
Best thing is just to try it out

You're overcomplicating it @xSpideyx :)

Give your form element the id of cat-photo-form.

Your form element should have the background-color of green.

Make sure your form element has an id attribute.

Do not give your form any class or style attributes.

Can anyone please help? I'm doing the Twitchtv challenge and am running up what I think is fundamentally a JS behavior I just don't understand. I define a variable topUserData in a function called getTopUsers. Inside the function the variable works fine. For some reason my variable array topUserData doesn't behave or report the same when I call it in my injectTopUsers function. I can't use things like topUserData.length or topUserData[0]. They all become undefined, and a consolelog of the variable from the injectTopUser function loots a bit different in the console. I feel like I'm missing something basic... https://codepen.io/IMburbank/pen/xEYZvG

@IMBurbank by the way your code looks like... you are in a severe case of Closures!!! :)
Remember that global variable, and inner variable inside function not necessarily share the same scope.
Let me explain briefly:
var a = 0;

function whatever() {
  a= 1;
}

function another(a){
  //the argument a passed is the "global" a = 0;
}

But for the sake of discussion @motochris781 , the other campers has a point.
You cannot expect to turn here and ask for every single little thing.

You have to learn to learn from yourself.
As a matter of fact the flow is READ - SEARCH and then ASK.
Have you searched ad read the docs well enough, but still no luck? then ask :+1:
Happy coding

@Naxell, don’t worry. If you’re going to help, help. If not, then say nothing. Its cool. We all have to learn and today you’re learning about talking to people online. Text lacks tone and people will assume it (usually negative), but if you’re words are easily interprated is negative, then it makes it hard. Just start helping people (and maybe apologize. That’s up to you) and let’s move on.

CSS has a property called width that controls an element's width. Just like with fonts, we'll use px (pixels) to specify the image's width.

For example, if we wanted to create a CSS class called larger-image that gave HTML elements a width of 500 pixels, we'd use:

<style>
.larger-image {
width: 500px;
}
</style>
Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge.

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2
{
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}.smaller-image {width: 100px;}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. ">

how the hell do you do this?

Give the submit button in your form the classes btn btn-primary.
Add a <i class="fa fa-paper-plane"></i> within your submit button element.
Give the text input in your form the class form-control.
Make sure each of your i elements has a closing tag.
