hey guys, I'm working on redoing the main body of my portfolio site to facilitate future content. however, I'm not sure whether or not I should include all my projects. for the Udacity program I graduated from, I did 6 projects. for FCC, I plan on doing all 4 certifications (3 certifications are 10 projects each = total 30 projects), and i'm also doing pro bono projects which would be (hopefully) at least a few clients. all together that would be around 30 + 6 + 5 = 41 projects at minimum

Commenting is a way that you can leave comments within your code without affecting the code itself.

Commenting is also a convenient way to make code inactive without having to delete it entirely.

You can start a comment with <!-- and end a comment with -->

Uncomment your h1, h2 and p elements.

This is where I been get lost. The function will then return a string with the current count and the string "Bet" if the count is positive, or "Hold" if the count is zero or negative. The current count and the player's decision ("Bet" or "Hold") should be separated by a single space. @Manish-Giri

@xSpideyx okay, so I’m guessing you already have the count variable going within a switch or an if/else block.
Once outside, you need another if/else that checks what the value of count is. Then follow the instructions, so if the count value is positive, you’ll return count + “ Bet”;

@foxbuilder25 "Javascript" official real name in 2016 is ECMA-script. The "java-script" name is from the early 90's when they were trying to piggy back on the popularity of JAVA even though the 2 things have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

@foxbuilder25 Knowing at least the basics of html and css would be really handy when learning JavaScript, but technically you don't need to. It's just that JavaScript is most commonly used for web apps, and that's where the html and css will come into play
So, uh, at least cover the basics!

Create a script element making sure it is valid and has a closing tag.
You should add $(document).ready(function() { to the beginning of your script element.
Close your $(document).ready(function() { function with });

-Create a new p element around your a element.
-Your a element should be nested within your new p element.
-Your p element should have the text "View more " (with a space after it).

  for (var c = 0; c < lastCpu.length; c++) {
    (function(local){ // What is local here? The value of C?

      }, 1000 * local); // <<<<< 1000 * local? is this 1 second times c value?
    }(c)); // Is this giving the starting point of the timeout?
  }
}
3 questions
1: what or how is function defining local?
2: how does the 1000*local work?
3: What is the encapsulated (c) at the end? Is it similar to ending a reduce function with an open array [] ?
Thanks!

Yeah, its the one titled "Learn how Script Tags and Document Ready Work" in JQuery. First lesson I think. I know how to add the code at the start: $(document).ready(function(){
});
But I seem to have blanked on how to write in a script element at the start?
They want me to create a script element making sure it is valid and has a closing tag.

@zatr1997 html can cover multiple lines. So you can do...

....
....
</ITEM>
And all those things in between would be considered "nested" within <ITEM>

@zatr1997 , container fluid makes sure that your layout/design doesn't break in small devices like mobile phones. class="row" makes your nested elements align in a row which requires a div class for each of that element with no of columns specified. row follows 12 columns pattern.

@junjkim you are missing a closing } on your red-text:

~~~
<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
p{ font-size:16px;
}
</style>
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p> Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
~~~

@junjkim this needs a closing } between the red; and the p
