@naoufalelh if it's the challenge I am thinking of, you're creating a button element in html and adding bootstrap classes to design it into a like button

@David-Moreira where "selector" is the element/s you want to target. As I said earlier, when someone clicks on a menu-item, first remove an active-class from all menu-items, then add it to the currently clicked element (you can access the clicked element with $(this))

@TheSwedishBaker there's a "M" sign with an arrow down-icon-thingy on the lower right corner of the text-field, which shows how to format text in this chat. Multiline-code is initiated with three `s

just type three characters, then write your code, and add three characters again.. I can't quite write it here, because it would format the text i write
and it happened
first. write three `
then add your code
and add another three `

@keenlearner101 You have to think of it like a table. First you have a div for a row. <div class="row"> then you can think of adding the columns <div class="col-cs-6"> and don't forget to properly close each of them.
Myia Dickens
@smartwin
Oct 20 2016 00:41
@Marcellana you need to use a class css selector and no an html CSS selector when you are trying to change the color of your h2

@smartwin @David-Moreira okay, thankyou so much for your help. I have just rewrote the code and this is how I have done it according to your suggestion.

<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row"></div>
<div class="col-xs-6"></div>
<div class="col-xs-6"></div>

</div>

But, although I have closed all my div tags, it's saying that I haven't nested the two div class="col-xs-6" within the div class="row"

Emphasize the text in your target4 button by adding HTML tags.
Make sure the text is otherwise unchanged.
Do not alter any other text.
Make sure you are using .html() and not .text().
Make sure to select button id="target4" with jQuery.
Help? :sparkles:

Ok, I've been using the directions for Nest an Anchor Element Within a Paragraph. I have reset and rewritten and I can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Here's the code: <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

font-family: Monospace;
}

.thick-green-border {
border-color: green;
border-width: 10px;
border-style: solid;
border-radius: 50%;
}

.smaller-image {
width: 100px;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p>View more <a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a></p>

@awb715 ["hello","neo"].indexOf("hello") returns true, which is correct, so to get false you need an operator for (does not equal) instead of equals (===)

@awb715 I'm no where you are yet , but I found mutations. It basically says to compare the values of the array and if they are the same, return true.
so you will want to access both values of the array and change them to the same case and then check if they are equal and return true. Your algorithm is comparing the index of a string and comparing it to a hard coded index.

@sarevalo92 - that's better, thank you...
If your form element has the ID that they mentioned in the lesson (and if it doesn't please reset your code) you should be able to use an ID selector in your CSS <style> section, and set background-color to green.

<style>
    #ID-value {
        background-color: green;
    }

and you should just include it within the current style section. Substitute the real ID value in the CSS selector, of course.

hello anybody can help Note
You should only be targeting one element and adding only one class at a time. Altogether, your three individual selectors will end up adding the three classes shake, animated, and btn-primary to #target1. Use the $("button") selector.
Use the $(".btn") selector.
Use the $("#target1") selector.
Only add one class with each of your three selectors.
Your #target1 element should have the classes animated‚ shake and btn-primary.
Only use jQuery to add these classes to the element.

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass(animated)
$(".btn").addClass(shake)
$("#target1").addClass(btn-primary)
});
</script>

<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#left-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="left-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target animated shake btn-primary" id="target1">#target1</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target2">#target2</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target3">#target3</button>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-6">
<h4>#right-well</h4>
<div class="well" id="right-well">
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target4">#target4</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target5">#target5</button>
<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target6">#target6</button>

You can create classes that have style rules then apply the classes to your elements within the HTML.
So it's asking you to create a class called pink-text, give it a rule, then apply the class to the element.

@chsreddy20002

<button class="btn btn-default target animated shake btn-primary" id="target1">#target1</button>

Delete animated, shake, and primary. You are adding these with jQuery in your code at the top. You were not supposed to add them directly to the starting tag like you have currently.

You forgot the semicolon also.
Not necessary for one line css rules but I think we decided to enforce good practices.
