<html>
             <head>
               <style>
                           .silver-background { background-color: silver;}
              </style>
             </head>
             <body>
                       ***all html type tags go here ***
            </body>
</html>
@jfonger so you got it ....kewl ... this is what a basic html page looks like, but for learning purposes we are only using <style> and html tags like <a>, <div>, etc..

Palindrome Detector
A palindrome is any word, phrase, or sentence that reads the same forward and back- ward. Here are some well-known palindromes:

Able was I, ere I saw Elba
A man, a plan, a canal Panama
Desserts, I stressed
Kayak
Write a bool function that uses recursion to determine if a string argument is a palindrome. The function should return true if the argument reads the same forward and backward. Demonstrate the function in a program.

@TheRealMoMo
@TheRealMoMo
You need 2 p elements with Kitty Ipsum text.
Make sure each of your p elements has a closing tag.
Your p element should contain the first few words of the provided additional kitty ipsum text.
The first p element should have the class red-text.
Do not add a class attribute to the second p element.
Between the style tags, give the p elements font-size of 16px. Browser and Text zoom should be at 100%.

There's a reason it says those projects usually take 50 hours
There's such a huge gap that you need time to learn and test ideas and see how stuff works and how to replicate it

Hello all , I am stuck on my personal portfolio. Another user looked at the code and said I have to start from the beginning. I'll take his advice and just "play: with each element and work my way to a final product. I was wondering if anyone had any resources such as online guide, course or MOOC's which may help me better undertsand HTML? Any advice or insight would be helpful , even if none is forthcoming thanks for all the help provided here!
Just feel so lost , here is what I built so far, I've been told its horrible. Sorry for the long post , just desperate at this point :( thanks https://codepen.io/Raghav82/pen/XjYXZE

Looks like the other help room is no help. Its likely why I hang out in here. Has anyone finished the Boo Who challenge? I have no idea what to do. I know the solution is simple but I don’t know if I’m not understanding the instructions or I’m over complicating things. Either way, I’ve been on the struggle bus long enough.

Your div element should have the class container-fluid.

Make sure your div element has a closing tag.

Make sure you have nested all HTML elements in .container-fluid.

@GlobalDevelopment2016 backend is always better of course, it's the core. I want to focus on front end first and then subsequently backend. You are a guru already since you are dealing with backend
