hey guys, I'm designing a website for a restaurant starting with the mobile view. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to just have images of each dish for the menu section, and just have each image stack on top of each other with the name of the dish over the image, then having the descriptions appear as modals when the user taps on the images. btw, the menu has 12 main dishes, 4 desserts, and 4 unique drinks

@RuinIsProbablyTaken Sometimes you want to add a elements to your website before you know where they will link.

This is also handy when you're changing the behavior of a link using jQuery, which we'll learn about later.

Replace the value of your a element's href attribute with a #, also known as a hash symbol, to turn it into a dead link.

@DarrenfJ i am doing the color change challenge and it is saying what i did was wrong. Does anyone know why?
@taylasha if so; "Change your h2 element's style so that its text color is red."
change that word blue to the word red

they give you the blue as an 'example' of the syntax : "Here's how you would set your h2 element's text color to blue:

<h2 style="color: blue">CatPhotoApp</h2>"

but then they ask you to actually change it to red

yea but which one give me the lesson you are on
have you found the name of your challenge?
Mohamed Osama Khan
@Assaonator
Oct 22 2016 05:09
i think its the third...not sure
Your h2 element should be red.
Your h2 element should have the class red-text.
Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red.
Do not use inline style declarations like style="color: red" in your h2 element.
Venoma772
@Venoma772
Oct 22 2016 05:10
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
that's for the first part you call the class in the h2 introduction
in the style section instead of h2{ you simply call the call so: .red-text{
should look like this:
.red-text{
color: red;
}
Mohamed Osama Khan

    removeZero(6006606.203) ==> 6666.23
    removeZero(0) ==> 30

*/

function removeZero(n) {
var str = n.toString();
var rep = str.replace(/0/g, '');

if(str >= str.charAt(2)){
return str;
}
else {
    return rep;

If you asked me 'hey how should I set up my environment?' and I just went like: @Girzima depending on the frameworks and plugins you'll use I say setup bower and go from there, probably should use Angular, even better use browserify so you can npm all you want. <-- That would hopefully confuse the heck out of you cuz I'm really trying to make my point here. If someone is unaware of your current understanding and talks to you like an equal, you're doomed and will be diving deep in the depression seas.

Evening everyone :), was wondering if I could get some help. I'm completely new and am doing the first codepen challenge. I managed to add a caption under an image, but can't get the perfect little grey background centered like most captions have under images. I added <div class="row"> <div class="col-xs-10">. For me the grey background begins at the far left of the actual page and ends on the right side of the image (which is good). I can't get it to begin on the left side of the image instead of the left of the actual page. Sorry if it's not clear enough :/
