@LouisPin, you can apply it like this
h2{
    font-family: 'Lobster';
}
abdirashid
@rashka100
Oct 26 2016 00:35

Font size is controlled by the font-size CSS property, like this:

h1 {
font-size: 30px;
}
Create a second p element after the existing p element with the following kitty ipsum text: Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.

Inside the same <style> tag that contains your red-text class, create an entry for p elements and set the font-size to 16 pixels (16px).

@camdabeast - in the code that you posted :point_up: October 25, 2016 9:06 PM- you have a couple errors. In your <style> section, you should define the class and CSS attributes. So you should have

<style>
    .red-text {
        color: red;
    }
</style>

A class definition has a . in front of the name.

Then in the place where you want to use that class, which is where you might have another error:

<div class="red=text">Some contents</div>

Where the "Some contents" can be other HTML elements, other divs, paragraphs, etc.

@camdabeast - yes, and you have your color set to blue, which is perfectly valid, because the name of the CSS class that you create doesn't have to have any correlation to the CSS rules that you use - hopefully the name is meaningful to what the class is doing, but no way to check that.

@KEIGHTEEN80 - reset your code window. You are possibly in trouble with too many edits.
Then, within your <style> section, define a class .smaller-image, follow the example that they put in the instructions for the larger-image - except use the width that they tell you for the smaller-image class.

Then, to assign the class to the image, for the <img element, add class="smaller-image" - if you have everything set up properly, it should work.

CSS borders have properties like style, color and width

For example, if we wanted to create a red, 5 pixel border around an HTML element, we could use this class:

<style>
.thin-red-border {
border-color: red;
border-width: 5px;
border-style: solid;
}
</style>
Create a class called thick-green-border that puts a 10-pixel-wide green border with a style of solid around an HTML element, and apply that class to your cat photo.

Remember that you can apply multiple classes to an element by separating each class with a space within its class attribute. For example:

<img class="class1 class2">

@Michaelbergeron3 - the placeholder is an HTML attribute on a text input element. So you just add it to the element as <input type="text" placeholder="whatever your placeholder should be"> there can be spaces within the quotes. The placeholder is the value that appears in the input box when there is no text in the input box. It can be a prompt to indicate what the text box should be used for, as in this case, instructing the user to enter a "cat photo URL".

@LVLapsa It should be <div class="silver-background"></div>

@RishabhXamarin you should learn JS first before Angular

@RishabhXamarin - I think that you need the JavaScript, because you'll have to write other supporting code to go along with the angular code.

Hello room. I just started my JQuery so my question is this, do I need to follow the map list in given order? After all, I am working becoming a full stack dev. Is it okay to skip JQuery first and dive into the JScript and come back to JQ later on? Just wondering.

@TheRealMoMo feel free to skim, or if you really feel like you don't need jQuery then go back and maybe learn it later. the beauty of this is you can do it however you want. I personally don't even use jQuery, it's not absolutely required

I know it may not be cannon for me to make a post of this nature in our group, but as i am unable to attend meetings I would like to ask some advice on a concept page I am working on. I'm not very well versed in advanced uses of .css and I would like to learn a bit how to make a few animated elements on my page. I have drawn a very simple picture of the Idea. so, when nav option one is selected, I want the black arrow pointing to nav option one and from there when nav bar option 2 is selected the pointer should slide to point at option 2. img here "https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzBJTkPZ_blrbC1DNXlGbWUwOUk/view?usp=sharing"

I am going to re-ask this question in one post

Any help on this ?

Lesson Name: Record Collection { Javascript }

function updateRecords(id, prop, value) {

  if(prop!=="tracks"&& value!=="")
  {
    collection.id[prop]=value;
  }

  return collection;
}

// Alter values below to test your code
updateRecords(5439, "artist", "ABBA");
I want to achive this
If prop isn't "tracks" and value isn't empty (""), update or set the value for that record album's property

@SweetLearner that exercise, as @lydatech said, is several parts..

@SweetLearner you also have to do these three things:
"If prop is "tracks" but the album doesn't have a "tracks" property, create an empty array before adding the new value to the album's corresponding property.

If prop is "tracks" and value isn't empty (""), push the value onto the end of the album's existing tracks array.

If value is empty (""), delete the given prop property from the album."
