Class is best used when you want to select multiple elements. ID's should be saved for when you want to pinpoint one specific element
However the difference is semantic. And they both fundamentally operate the same. Hope that helps

Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me with an iframe question. My goal is to change the iframe windows individually, not all at the same time. Here is a copy of my code:

@andry91959 To escape a character is to strip it of it's special meaning and have it interpreted as is.
Bibek Gautam
@bibek22
Oct 30 2016 05:04
@RuinIsProbablyTaken hmm or the opposite? '\n' would you call that escaping a character 'n' ?
slri
@slri
Oct 30 2016 05:06
@bibek22 Well, escaping is literally stripping of it's special meaning where \ adds a special meaning to n so if you said \\n it would literally be printed out as \n
andry91959
@andry91959
Oct 30 2016 05:06
@RuinIsProbablyTaken why do we need to escape something out of string?
Bibek Gautam
@bibek22
Oct 30 2016 05:07
@andry91959 because some characters are reserved for special meaning and sometimes you need to print them literally like the case @RuinIsProbablyTaken just mentioned

Oct 30 2016 05:08
@andry91959 If you wanted to have double quotes in a string, but you're using double quotes to note that it's a string, you'd need to escape the double quotes that are supposed to be treated as a part of a string.

@AlisonYoon Hello You need to convert that switch statement cases and value to an object.
Here is an example doing the first two for you :D
  var lookup = {
      alpha: "Adams",
      bravo: "Boston",
    };

var lookup = {
alpha : "Adams",
bravo : "Boston",
charlie : "Chicago",
delta : "Denver",
echo : "Easy",
foxtrot : "Frank"

}

// Only change code above this line
return result;
}

This is what I did
U-ways
@U-ways
Oct 30 2016 09:52
@AlisonYoon Yes and now you need a way to make the function look through the keys values you provided: so you assign result (as summing you return results) result = lookup[val];
@AlisonYoon val is the passed function argument so if it was phoneticLookup("bravo");
It will return "Boston"
Alison Yoon
@AlisonYoon
Oct 30 2016 09:54
yes I understand that part
but I don't know how to juggle within the code that's provided for me
it says, edit only the certain part of the entire code...

// Only change code below this line
var lookup = {

alpha : "Adams",
bravo : "Boston",
charlie : "Chicago",
delta : "Denver",
echo : "Easy",
foxtrot : "Frank"

}
result=lookup(val);
// Only change code

isn't this how you do it ?
U-ways
@U-ways
Oct 30 2016 09:57
@AlisonYoon Nope, You need to use brackets [] not parentheses () to access objects :D

@fahadkhan1740 nesting simply mean "placed inside / in between"
Example:

<div>
    <p> This paragraph is nested inside a div </p>
</div>

With this logic follow the instriction and good luck :+1:

Jeff Shapiro
@Jeff-Shapiro
Oct 30 2016 11:56
The 'hash' (#) in an href attribute denotes a page fragment. #myfragment = fragment identifier that goes hand in hand with id="myfragment". When it is used by itself, it denotes an empty fragment, which is the page itself. It's the way many developers create anchors that don't link to anything.

Nest both of your div elements with the class "col-xs-6" within your div element with the class "row".
<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
<div class="row">
<div class="well " class="col-xs-6">
