Nov 15 2016 00:26

It's this one..

<style>
.red-text {color: red;}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed every where shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

and it's asking this... Between the style tags, give the p elements font-size of 16px. Browser and Text zoom should be at 100%.
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 15 2016 00:27
you will need to create a second selector inside the style tags, after your .red-text one
syntax will be similar to what you did for the red-text class, except you're targeting the p element, not creating a class (i.e. omit the period)
and instead of changing color you're changing font-size

Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

@ehutchllew
Nov 15 2016 01:02
@Nalege Okay so a class is basically a way to "style" something, usually with CSS. What you do is you create a class for an element, ex: <div class = 'container'> </div> then you can 'call' it and style it, ex: .container { background-color: red;}
@dragodanipr @Nalege so try applying that smaller-image class to your <img> element (like i did to the <div> element above).

@brodi77a: Well, ideally you would nest it as you go… but copy and paste I guess… I assume you already now the shorthand for that. Or just write the opening tag over the code and the closing tag after the code and then select the inner code and tab it over.

// Change the words here to test your function

Im not sure what it means when it asks
wordBlanks("","","","") should return a string.
wordBlanks("dog", "big", "ran", "quickly") should contain all of the passed in words separated by non-word characters (and any additional words in your madlib).
wordBlanks("cat", "little", "hit", "slowly") should contain all of the passed in words separated by non-word characters (and any additional words in your madlib).

Devin Sayroo

Your form element should have the background-color of green.

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;

border-color: green;
border-width: 10px;
border-style: solid;
border-radius: 50%;
}

.smaller-image {
width: 100px;
}

.silver-background {
background-color: silver;

}

</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p>Top 3 things cats hate:</p>
<ol>
<li>flea treatment</li>

For example, if you defined red-text, you used

<script>
  $(document).ready(function() {

    $("#getMessage").on("click", function(){
      // Only change code below this line.
      $.getJSON("/json/cats.json", function(json) {
        $(".message").html(JSON.stringify(json));
      });
      // Only change code above this line.
    });
  });
</script>

You should be making use of the getJSON
method given in the description to load
data from the JSON file.

Don't forget to make the .html change
the contents of the message box so that
it contains the result of the getJSON.

Your h1 element should have the class pink-text.
Your <style> should have a pink-text CSS class with its color set to pink.

<style>
body {
background-color: black;
font-family: Monospace;
color: green;
}
h1{
color:pink

.pink-text{

json.filter(x=>`"${x.quote}" #${x.author.replace(/(\w)\s+(\w)/, '$1$2')}`.length<=140)
using string template cause i think it's a lot easier to code. instaead of concatenating a lot.

@silver537 ah alright let me work on the hotfix v1.1
silver537
@silver537
Nov 15 2016 04:19
anyways. what it does is it counts EVERY string character. it gets the quote, and inputs it into qtuoes.
"quote" <= that.length is 7 characters. quote is 5, and the two " " is 2. so 7 in total.
then we add a SPACE. so 8 in total.
then a hashtag # so 9 in total.
then what i did here :x.author.replace(/(\w)\s+(\w)/, '$1$2')
i got the author's name first last ('first name' 'last name') notice there's a space in between.
so the replace catpures the words and replaces them with those same words without spaces. cause, you know, sometimes there's more words to their name.
so first last becomes => firstlast which is 9 characters long
so all together that's 18 characters long
"quote" #firstlast.length => 18 < 140? true: false
so now every quote AND their author's final text output will be filtered out according to their output length. only allowing those under 140 characters. :D

<img src="https://www.your-image-source.com/your-image.jpg"> is this src value?

ou can add images to your website by using the img element, and point to a specific image's URL using the src attribute.

An example of this would be:

<img src="https://www.your-image-source.com/your-image.jpg">

All img elements must have an alt attribute. The text inside an alt attribute is used for screen readers to improve accessibility and is displayed if the image fails to load.

Lets add an alt attribute to our img example above:

<img src="https://www.your-image-source.com/your-image.jpg" alt="Author standing on a beach with two thumbs up. ">

Note that in most cases, img elements are self-closing.

Try it with this image:

@jimmykecil Quick start example
If you’re using Bootstrap’s compiled CSS, this the example you’ll want to start with.

<div class="container">
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-sm-4">
      One of three columns
    </div>
    <div class="col-sm-4">
      One of three columns
    </div>
    <div class="col-sm-4">
      One of three columns
    </div>
  </div>
</div>

The above example creates three equal-width columns on small, medium, large, and extra large devices using our predefined grid classes. Those columns are centered in the page with the parent .container.

following this syntax: "Remember that you can apply multiple classes to an element by separating each class with a space within its class attribute. For example:

<img class="class1 class2">"

@johnnytuxedo where class2 is the same name you used for the CSS thing without the dot at the front of it..

@moximing:

Replace the value of your a element's href attribute with a #, also known as a hash symbol, to turn it into a dead link.

href is an attribute and it’s value is "value here"… so together
href="value here"… currently your value is a link… so replace the link with # which will make it dead… so upon clicking it… it will not redirect you anywhere.
