Im stuck on this:

Sometimes your HTML elements will receive multiple styles that conflict with one another.

For example, your h1 element can't be both green and pink at the same time.

Let's see what happens when we create a class that makes text pink, then apply it to an element. Will our class override the body element's color: green; CSS property?

Create a CSS class called pink-text that gives an element the color pink.

Give your h1 element the class of pink-text.

I have This: <style>
body {
background-color: black;
font-family: Monospace;
color: green;
}
.pink-text: {
color: pink;
}
</style>

<h1 class="pink-text">Hello World!</h1>

but apparently thats not correct

<p class="element"></p>
.element{
/*Your styling*/
}
<p id="element"></p>
#element{
/*Your styling*/
}
/*and lastly just calling all p elements by putting nothing before the p*/
p{
/*Your styling*/
}
Just remember to put your style brackets on the css stuff I ignored that stuff

@jcheung1 <i> is special only because Font Awesome suggests to use it for icons. And technically, <span> is more appropriate anyway. So yeah, each element only has one real meaning, you can't have an <h2> that does one thing and another <h2> that does another, unless you're modifying it with classes or IDs.

@movenosound so, first you need to give that div the class of silver-background, then in the css, instead of selecting div, you need to specify that classname with .silver-background, instead of this
div {
background-color: silver;
}
@dudmleh522 name-"personality" -> should be =

@vijay23bhatt fix your URL to openweathermap, to this

var openWeatherAPI = "http://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather?id=2172797&APPID=..."

like I said, not everything works the same way b/w app and browser

@amastha16 container-fluid is a class defined by bootstrap, so you just load it and use it, you don't need to implement how a container-fluid class should work, some more bs classes here - http://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_ref_css_helpers.asp

@byronpatat 'herf' should be href
Also I think that link's in the wrong place, might want to double-check that
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 16 2016 05:10
@vikashqa you need to focus on this one line:
<a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a>
you're going to nest that line with a set of p tags
and you're also going to include the text "View more" inside of the p tags
so the paragraph should read View more cat photos, with cat photos remaining a link, View more will just be text

@willysgirl805 "Here's how you would set your h2 element's text color to blue:

<h2 style="color: blue">CatPhotoApp</h2>"

@willysgirl805 so that's the example.. then they say "Change your h2 element's style so that its text color is red."

you don't have to with inline style I don't think.. but you definitively do with CSS

This code is not working for lesson "Target a Specific Child of an Element Using jQuery"
Make the second child in each of your well elements bounce. You must target the children of element with the target class.
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#target1").css("color", "red");
$("#target1").prop("disabled", true);
$("#target4").remove();
$("#target2").appendTo("#right-well");
$("#target5").clone().appendTo("#left-well");
$("#target1").parent().css("background-color", "red");
$("#right-well").children().css("color", "orange");
$(".target:nth-child(2)").addClass(" bounce");
});
</script>

    $("#target4").remove();
    $("#target2").appendTo("#right-well");
    $("#target5").clone().appendTo("#left-well");
    $("#target1").parent().css("background-color", "red");
    $("#right-well").children().css("color", "orange");
    $(".target:nth-child(2)").addClass(" bounce");
  });
</script>
I believe the following line should make the second child in each class elements bounce.
  $(".target:nth-child(2)").addClass(" bounce");
@Manish-Giri thanks Manish. I thought that animated and bounce are two classes.

@KingCerwin this is wrong

.h1 {
font-size: 16px;

it should target p, not .h1

Hello, Manish. I have a little problem with my challenge
function nextInLine(arr, item) {
  var tempVar = arr[1];
  arr[arr.length] = item;
  arr.shift(1);
  // Your code here

  return tempVar; // Change this line
}
nextInLine([], item);
tempVar.push(0);
nextInLine.push(0);

// Test Setup
var testArr = [1,2,3,4,5];

// Display Code
console.log("Before: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
console.log(nextInLine(testArr, 6)); // Modify this line to test
console.log("After: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
