does it work like that though? the case 1 and case 2 and case 3 are those the numbers itself? I'm not even sure that question makes sense lol
switch (card)
case 'J':
case 'Q':
case 'K':
count -= 1

does that work? if so then ill switch my if / else statements to shifts and then work on the returns

i appreciate the responses :)

What is this step asking?

You can build web forms that actually submit data to a server using nothing more than pure HTML. You can do this by specifying an action on your form element.

For example:

<form action="/url-where-you-want-to-submit-form-data"></form>

Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element.

Your #target1 element should have the classes animated‚ shake and btn-primary.

@josdea
Nov 24 2016 02:54
@aj5dv The original image is perhaps smaller than that. you can try min-height as well at 140px, but you might get some pixelation if the icon is actually too small
Margaret
@Margaret2
Nov 24 2016 02:54
@aj5dv it is smaller because the actual image is a different size than the other images

hoping somebody can help me .. trying to understand <div> element.. Anything that is between the beginning and ending <div> tags will have whatever formatting is called by the class in the opening div tag

so if i have a class <style> . background{background-color: red; font-size: 30px;} </style>

and then my heading has <div class="background"><h1>Tribute to ...</h1> <a href="#"> <img src= "#"> </div>

all the elements within the <div> tags will have the class .background applied?

@beybiiboo: You want to change the button with id target 4 specifically … yet you have this:
"button", "target4"… that’s two selectors.
Also the text you want to affect is in this specific button you created before.

<button class="btn btn-default target" id="target4">#target4</button>

Notice the id name and the text b/t the button tags.

@theharshitgarg: You are impeding the learning of others by providing them with answers, especially with no explanations. At the point that they finish this course they might not be able to retain what they have learned as they did not solve the challenges on their own. You should know quite well that the challenges build upon each other, mainly that the knowledge they gained from the previous lessons is exercised in the next challenges. Please refrain from posting full solutions, instead you can focus on pointing out errors, providing general examples, or expounding on the exercise with your knowledge base. Thanks! :smile:

@bebo09 you also didn't close your input tag, and the input tag should be nested in the form
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:12
@apalm1341 hey
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:12
if u have one version of text editor, let's just say visual studio code, and u find out that u can use it for any purpose....
__mifflin__
@cdrainxv
Nov 24 2016 04:12
@bebo09: also /submit-cat-photo
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:12
@apalm1341 ...meaning...
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:12
does that always mean that the other versions of that text editor u find can be used in the same way?
im applying this to all text editors
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:13
@apalm1341 I'm not sure what ur asking
bebo09
@bebo09
Nov 24 2016 04:13
@coymeetsworld like this?....<input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL"form action=:"submit-cat-photo"></input>
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:13
and actually...applying this to everything u could download to your computer
like if one version of program is open source and free
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:14
no @bebo09, input has no closing tag, and form is its own tag
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:14
then that means all the other versions would have to be same way?
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:14
look at the example
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:14
so, like for anything u download to your computer....?
u can apply this same principle?
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:14
if u mean have the same abilities, then probably. They each have their own pros and cons
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:15
i mean...
as in all the different versions could be used for the same purposes
as in they would all have to be open source
and free
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:15
like what purposes?
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:15
if one version of something was free and open source
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:16
@apalm1341 if you're asking if a program you're using is open source will future version be too? And the answer is yes
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:16
ok coy
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:16
that is the rule of it being open source, generally
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:16
and when u say open source....
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:16
doesn't mean its free though
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:16

@coymeetsworld
Nov 24 2016 04:16
usually free but sometimes it is not
Aaron
@apalm1341
Nov 24 2016 04:16
but obviously if open source....
that means u can do anything u want with it?
and u would know if it is free too right?
Benjamin
@XenoCoding
Nov 24 2016 04:17

@BabyBuddha - it is a strange editor problem. I found that one way to make it work is to go to the line below the one you want to edit, and pad it out with spaces at the end of the line, and you can then click in the place you want in the line above? At least, I think that I remember that being one way around this problem?
