@Reg1031 By using style
@Reg1031 Are you using the style tag or CSS
Manish Giri
@Manish-Giri
Nov 27 2016 00:32

@besynerlig first things, inside an if or an else if, you need something that results in a boolean condition (true or false)
while these two are fine (just the syntax, not the comparisons themselves)

if (card <= 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) {
    return "5 Bet";
  }
  else if (card <= 7, 8, 9) {
    return "0 Hold";
  }

the others are not

CherryPlaysRoblox
@CherryPlaysRoblox1
Nov 27 2016 00:32
@Reg1031 In style tags you write h2 {color:red;}
besynerlig
@besynerlig
Nov 27 2016 00:33
OkOk, well what i tried doing first was doing eveyrthing under AND 0 was to print -card Hold and everything over print card Bet
Manish Giri
@Manish-Giri
Nov 27 2016 00:33

@besynerlig coming back to what I was saying about comparisons, you can't compare a varible with a list of numbers

if (card <= 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) {
    return "5 Bet";
  }

this should be

if (card <= 6) {
    return "5 Bet";
  }
besynerlig
@besynerlig
Nov 27 2016 00:33
but i noticed they had the card letters n sh1t
okok, that clears it up! so you think giving the switch thing a try is worth it?

Inside the same <style> tag that contains your red-text class, create an entry for p elements and set the font-size to 16 pixels (16px).

p {

Guys, I need some help with CSS. I do not understand why my well element is broken when I click search.

Firstly, I used flexbox to center my elements and when the user click the "search" button, they should go to the top of the screen to make space for the search results, but for some reason the "random" goes out of the well element

The page is far from complete, so please don't judge how horribly ugly and non functional it is right now haha

@rllopez0831: You also have to add the class smaller-image to your img element… same way you did this:
<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>
Jordan Hancock

@besynerlig: Remember this lesson: Multiple Identical Options in Switch Statements? If you have several cases which have the same output ( ie. case 2 -6 —> count++;) then you can group them together… like shown in this pseudocode:
switch(val) {
case 1:
case 2:
case 3:
result = "1, 2, or 3";
break;
}

@cdrainxv exactly my point, it's like I keep going on and on and on, and I still keep asking myself - how the fk does all these pieces come together?
I mean, they show how you pass a prop down from a component to another, how a parent passes state to a child and then a sibling changes parent's state, but show me the bigger picture damnit

@besynerlig like I said before,
  1. you don't need card anymore outside of switch(card)

  3. outside switch, you assign to result the answer of count and hold/bet

@nitinraghav not really, look here

status = response.stream === null ? "Offline" : "Online",
            game= response.stream === null ? "Offline" : response.stream.game;

        html+= "<div class='row'> <h1>" + response.stream.channel.display_name + "</h1> <h3> Status: " +  status + "</h3><h3> Game: " + game

let's say stream is null, then you get status and game as offline, but then next line, you do

response.stream.channel.display_name

which will return undefined when stream is null, so basically you aren't using the results of the if/else checks

// Test Setup

// Display Code
console.log("Before: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
console.log(nextInLine(testArr, 6)); // Modify this line to test

What I have to do:
nextInLine([], 1) should return 1
nextInLine([2], 1) should return 2
nextInLine([5,6,7,8,9], 1) should return 5
After nextInLine(testArr, 10), testArr[4] should be 10

You can set an element's font by using the font-family property.

For example, if you wanted to set your h2 element's font to Sans-serif, you would use the following CSS:

h2 {
font-family: Sans-serif;
}

@warcraft034: It’s what you are trying to affect… remember this for example:

.red-text {
 color: red;
}

color was the property to change the color of text, red was it’s value. So together the text of the elements with class red-text would now have text with red color.

@notty99: No… because you you ended up styling those classes. For ex class="red-text"
You personally went and styled it to have this rule:
red-text { color: red;}
For bootstrap classes like text-center… it would come predefined with a rule like:

.text-center {
 display: block;
 margin: 0 auto;
}

So if you have bootstrap library loaded and add class text-center to an element, then you don’t need to add any rules to text-center class in the style tags.

Nov 27 2016 06:49
@notty99 I don't know what 115 is, but the process I normally follow is - when I try to build something and need classes from a framework or a library, I just head to the documentation of that f/w or library. If I know the class name, I just read thru the API doc for that class, or if I'm not aware, I just look through all their classes to see which one fits my needs the most

Nov 27 2016 06:50
@notty99 for instance, bootstrap has a bunch of classes which sets colors to buttons, like btn-primary, or btn-success, or btn-info. Of course I dont remember which color corresponds to which class, I just look it up.

@waleszonia Failing to see what to do. Says to put my div element around the entire HTML and the div element should have the class container-fluid. So at the top of my script I put <div class:.container-fluid>

@notty99: You don’t have to replicate the design of the page. Just fulfill the user stories for the moment. As you gain more knowledge then you can keep on improving upon it if you want.

Add an i element with the classes fa and fa-thumbs-up.
Your fa-thumbs-up icon should be located within the Like button.
Nest your i element within your button element.
Make sure your i element has a closing tag.
