that is how to nest

Create a div element and give it the class container-fluid. Then sandwich everything starting from below the style tags inside of it.

Jan 02 2017 00:35
@AV11D724 depends on what you're nesting, if you want to nest ALL HTML in a div with class container-fluid, then that's the way.
If you want to nest input inside a form (which you already did) -
<form action="...">
<input ...>
</form>
RDHopkins
@RDHopkins
Jan 02 2017 00:36
@AV11D724 pretend when it asks you to nest, that the code is hugging it
if you do it backwards, you're hugging yourself
and thats kinda creepy

.green-background {
background-color: green;
}

You can set an element's background color with the background-color property.

For example, if you wanted an element's background color to be green, you'd put this within your style element:

.green-background {
background-color: green;
}
Create a class called silver-background with the background-color of silver. Assign this class to your div element.

@Mekelle18
Jan 02 2017 01:33

CSS has a property called width that controls an element's width. Just like with fonts, we'll use px (pixels) to specify the image's width.

For example, if we wanted to create a CSS class called larger-image that gave HTML elements a width of 500 pixels, we'd use:

<style>
.larger-image {
width: 500px;
}
</style>
Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge.

@moonbyt3 point is that your navigation div is just a col-xs-3 (if I'm not mistaken)
Unless you give it a "manual" heigth (eg: 400px) the column will always be 100% of the content height. (and not the page)

you should consider redesign your layout if you want a navbar.
Perhaps using bootstrap nav?

@viru007 for each row, the numbers have to add up to 12. So you will plan out how wide things are as a fraction of 12. 4 is 1/3 of 12, so if you give an element the col-xs-4 class, it will take up 4 columns or 1/3 of the width

@PhyllisWong: The class is not .text-primary (that was just the example). Use the one the instructions ask.
Use the jQuery addClass() function to give the classes animated and shake to all your elements with the class well.

How come it still go wrong?
it says
1.Give your radio buttons the name attribute of indoor-outdoor.
2.Each of your two radio button elements should be nested in its own label element.
3.Make sure each of your label elements has a closing tag.
4.One of your radio buttons should have the label indoor.
5.One of your radio buttons should have the label outdoor.

You can build web forms that actually submit data to a server using nothing more than pure HTML. You can do this by specifying an action on your form element.

For example:

<form action="/url-where-you-want-to-submit-form-data"></form>

Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element.

Hi guys i need help with this as it says it wants me to: Your h2 element and topmost img element should both be nested together within a div element with the class row.
Nest your topmost img element within a div with the class col-xs-4.
Nest your h2 element within a div with the class col-xs-8.
Make sure each of your div elements has a closing tag. CODE:

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

.thick-green-border {
border-color: green;
border-width: 10px;
border-style: solid;
border-radius: 50%;
}
</style>

<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="row col-xs-8" <h2 class="text-primary text-center">CatPhotoApp</h2></div>
<div class"row">
<div class"col-xs-8">

If i would of made the button outside the form would it still work within the form if that makes sense? So if i had "Send cat pics" as the input insinde the form and i made a button outside the form that said submit would it still work?
@KevonTooPro when you add the form code is it just that long rectangle that appears to like add text into it

Hey guys, not sure what i'm doin wrong here.

<script>
  $(document).ready(function() {
    $("button").addClass("animated bounce");
      $("well").addClass("animated shake");
  });
</script>

need to make things inside well shake

Use the jQuery addClass() function to give the classes animated and shake to all your elements with the class well. apparently i did this wrong

@mianshahab when the instruction says red

Give the parent of the #target1 element a background-color of red.

why're you making it blue?

$("#left-well").parent().css("background-color","red");
    $("#target1").parent().css("background-coloe","blue");
