Having issues with "give background color to a div element". I'm currently using div {background-color: silver;} which works and sets a bg color on the right but the lesson will not complete. I'm guessing its a syntax error or something but I can't seem to get any other way to work. Any ideas?

first step - use a silver-background class here
div {background-color: silver;}
@resolute89
then use the silver-background class on the div element
it's very similar to the smaller-image challenge.
@JohnathonSpies shouldn't this be white instead? style="color: pink"

@Manish-Giri Sorry just realized you meant class in the coding sense. Still getting use to the terminology. Think I understand what you are saying. Needs to be in both style and the div elements.

ok so whats happening here is that its still saying "Your img element should have the class thick-green-border.
Give your image a border width of 10px.
Give your image a border style of solid.
The border around your img element should be green." and as you can see i already added but is it in the right place or did i do a mistake?

@tiremon112 im glad your okay...people sometimes dont know how to drive correctly. Asians are the best drivers out there.
Beautiful is better than ugly.
Explicit is better than implicit.
Simple is better than complex.
Complex is better than complicated.
Flat is better than nested.
Sparse is better than dense.
Readability counts.
Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules.
Although practicality beats purity.
Errors should never pass silently.
Unless explicitly silenced.
In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess.
There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.
Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Dutch.
Now is better than never.
Although never is often better than right now.
If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea.
If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea.
Namespaces are one honking great idea -- let's do more of those!

@Marbocatcat:

if (num < 1) {

Although, realistically it would be if num === 0 then return 1 as the recursion would take take care of if num was 1. You can't mathematically get the factorial of negative numbers.
