Jan 21 2017 00:04
To be honest I don't know
Let me try background-size
Anh Nguyen
@tiremon112
Jan 21 2017 00:05
just make a <div> </div> give it class or id then add background-image property into it
O.o
@Arrow007 you need background-image:url() to put image in too

Jan 21 2017 00:07
@Arrow007 the size of the image doesn't particularly matter so as long as it's big enough not too lose quality and small enough not to be too heavy. The rest you size you styling and css https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/53/file-2185775137-jpg/assets/blog.hubspot.com/images/banners/marketing-banner-125.jpg?t=1484949544750
THen give it a background-size: cover;

__mifflin__
@cdrainxv
Jan 21 2017 02:59
@anweshd:
  • Both of your loop conditions are wrong. The first one should be like this:
    (var i = 0; i < arr.length; i++). The second one should be based off of the first one:
    (var j = 0; j < arr[i].length; j++)
  • curently you are only returning 1 as you don't change product at all from the time you first intialized it here: var product = 1;
  • Don't use console.product(arr[i]*[j]);You need to keep reassigning the value of product by multiplying it with each element in the arr array.
    product *= arr[i][j];

Hi!

Jan 21 2017 03:07
our h2 element should be red.
Your h2 element should have the class red-text.
Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red.
Do not use inline style declarations like style="color: red" in your h2 element.
please help i know it might be easy to you

Yeah, that's only for IDs. NP~
@cjljohnson The tomato might be moving because of the way margins interact. When you hit an element with display: none, it removes all boundaries (like margins) that would interact with elements adjacent to it normally. Do you have negative margins on anything there? That could be doing it.
cjljohnson

Jan 21 2017 04:24
@SyncKid The CSS with the curly braces goes between the style tags
Vizij
@Vizij
Jan 21 2017 04:26
@cjiljohnson I'm a bit stumped on that one too, honestly. I'm testing it by alternating display: none on .timebuttons and the tomato's moving up. But jQuery show / hide makes it move down ... It may have something to do with the styles applied by those methods. Other than that, I'm unsure.

Jan 21 2017 06:00
Oh i see
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Jan 21 2017 06:00
@WannaPvp but you have to go through each and add #target1 then on the next one #target2 etc
you are adding test in each button that matches the name of the id of that button, so that on later exercises you can see what you are doing to each one..
in reality you would likley add things like 'like', 'delete', 'submit' on the buttons in a real app

I'm having a really interesting problem. as soon as I apply opacity to a class, any element with that class starts scroller overtop of my navbar instead of under it

http://codepen.io/Lolcamis/pen/rjjvOy?editors=1100

see how my name scrolls over the navbar? When you remove opacity from the .block class entirely, the problem goes away. what gives?

@hazem3500 its a scope issue
lat is defined inside the anonymous function
so $("h3").text(lat); doesn't work because it doesn't know what lat is
put it inside the call back and it should be good (i.e. right where you define lat)

Hi, this is my code.

<style>
h2 {
color: red;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

And this is the error - Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red.

I'm not sure what this means. :/

"What is bootstrap in html?"
Bootstrap was also programmed to support both HTML5 and CSS3. ... Bootstrap is a free collection of tools for creating a websites and web applications. It contains HTML and CSS-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation and other interface components, as well as optional JavaScript extensions.
