@riversandrew36
Jan 23 2017 01:13
@michelremonduelaz Just comment out your <link> tag at the top of your code
@BolajiZ Right ok, so now that you have the right selector, you need to nest your class in the right <div>.. rather than write out a new line of code, just nest the class inside your <div> tag
@BolajiZ Rather than <div> and then <silver-background class="background-color: silver"></silver-background>

so it looks more like <div class="silver-background">
Then use your CSS to call .silver-background to make changes to the <div>

Your h1 element should have the class pink-text.
Your h1 element should have the class blue-text.
Give your h1 element the id of orange-text.
Create a CSS declaration for your orange-text id
Do not give your h1 any style attributes.
Your h1 element should be orange.

@marygoeddel:

Replace the value of your a element's href attribute with a #, also known as a hash symbol, to turn it into a dead link.

href is an attribute and its value is in quotes "value"
so together href="value"… currently your value is a link (http://www.freecatphotoapp.com) … so replace the link with # which will make it dead… so upon clicking it… it will not redirect you anywhere.

@kishank72 it means put between the opening and ending tag of something
nesting an image into a div would be <div> <img> </div> as the img goes after the starting div tag and before the ending div tag

Hey everyone, having a little trouble here. I'm stuck on the challenge "Target the same element with multiple jQuery Selectors." The issue I'm getting here is with satisfying: "Only add one class with each of your three selectors."

I have:
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated");
$(".btn").addClass("animated shake");
$("#target1").addClass("btn-primary");
});
</script>

I must be missing something because I'm under the impression I only have once class assigned to each selector

newbee45
@newbee45
Jan 23 2017 03:48

You can build web forms that actually submit data to a server using nothing more than pure HTML. You can do this by specifying an action on your form element.

For example:

<form action="/url-where-you-want-to-submit-form-data"></form>

Nest your text field in a form element. Add the action="/submit-cat-photo" attribute to this form element.

@Clue356 you need to make it so that its doing it to the p element and not 'font-size' as a class...
@Clue356 so you don't need font-size in here: <p class="red-text"; class="font-size"; >

@Clue356 and in the CSS to do something to an html thing you use the same as the html tag...
@Clue356 like in the example they give.. they want to change the font size of h2 so the do:
h2 {
font-size: 30px;
}
@Clue356 in your case you are doing it to p

you want your p to be 16px
not your h2
right?
@itchick85
target p
Michael
@MIKEGGG
Jan 23 2017 06:55
Create a new p element around your a element.
Your a element should be nested within your new p element.
Your p element should have the text "View more " (with a space after it).
<p> View more
<a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com">

shouldnt that code cover it?

hey, I need help, please: i'm working on the algorithm "Mutations." Seems I've gotten everything to work except the initial array hello and hey: function mutation(arr) {
var even = arr[0].toLowerCase();
var odd = arr[1].toLowerCase();

for(var i = 0; i < even.length; i++)
if (even.indexOf(odd[i]) !== -1) {
return true;
} else {
return false;
}

}

mutation(["hello", "hey"]);
