@mrblc5598 You should declare the class in the style section. like so .red-text{

Then you can add the class <h2 class="red-text">Foo Bar</h2>

@cwborion In your CSS, you've declared the margin to all P elements
Jessie Chatham Spencer
@jmintb
Feb 10 2017 01:10
@cwborion okay in the CSS by writing P{} you are applying the margin to every P element.
@cwborion instead you have to create a class in the CSS fx .Margin{} and then apply the margin to the P element.
Caleb Brenner
@cwborion
Feb 10 2017 01:11
@jmintb okay i was concerned that that may be why, so there must be a different type of input to specifically write it in a class on that p element? I was under the impression that it would only be applied to the one that I manually wrote it in on
@jmintb okay I'm unfamiliar with that but I will try to figure out how. Thank you!

idk what that cors-anywhere thing is
if you're having CORS issues you should read up on that and figure out why, important thing to learn

ok
u have a good link for that?
Coy Sanders

Feb 10 2017 02:05
no on hand no, just google it and choose first few things you see
probably will show you the MDN or Wikipedia documentation
would this apply to me?
I have no idea if I am even having CORS issues
am I?

something to research @apalm1341, and use your devtools on your browser to check your console. It should give warnings if you're having issues with CORS
Aaron

Ammad Khokar

@jamesjd54 Also yeah man, starting the intermediate projects, FCC leaves you hangin dry. You have to use alot of other resources to really get it down
You link it in your html within script tags, you can either find it online or download it an link it locally

@amadcajuan You'll see certain links Jquery online...you can just google it then set src equal to that location in your script tag

If it's local, its weird but this is how it works: When you link anything in your html, it will first search the folder of the file / project you're working on (the html you have open), then it will go one sub-level up to the next folder and it will search for it

@amadcajuan so if you download Jquery code, just name it whatever you want, save it in the folder of your project or near that location, then add the script tag <script src = 'fileName.js'> </script>

hello all. stuck with this code.in responsively style radio buttons section with bootstrap. it says to Nest all of your radio buttons within a <div class="row"> element. Then nest each of them within a <div class="col-xs-6"> element.
here is what i've coded.

<div class="row">
<div class="col-xs-6">
<button class="btn btn-block btn-primary"><i class="fa fa-thumbs-up"></i> Like</button>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-6">
<button class="btn btn-block btn-info"><i class="fa fa-info-circle"></i> Info</button>
</div>
<div class="col-xs-6">
<button class="btn btn-block btn-danger"><i class="fa fa-trash"></i> Delete</button>
</div>
</div>

but it still tells me i need to nest radio buttons inside one div with class row,and also to nest each radio button inside its own div with class col-xs-6. what am i missing?

Ammad Khokar
@Ammadk24
Feb 10 2017 03:43
@Cullen99 Consider the div element as a divider element. You wrap portions of your code in div tags so you can style just that section in a specific way
So you need to wrap the collective img + h2 element in div tags with class row, then within that div tag, you must wrap individually the img element in div with class "col-xs-4" and then your h2 with div class = "col-xs-8"
@xochipilli2012 can you link your code using ```? I'm unsure if its a formatting error

@Margaret2

A hard object--such as a golf club, or metal rod--was used to strike Sweetie with such force that it swiped the side of her mouth, knocked out teeth, shattered the bone under her gums, dislodged her upper gums from the palette, and left her palette dislodged from the roof of her mouth and filled with infection. This cat suffered for over a week with this injury—unable to eat or drink. Bone fragments hanging from her mouth were removed, the open wound was cleaned of infection and other debris, and then the gums were stitched back together to the palette where the bone and teeth no longer existed. Dr. Jaax made new flaps for her gum and it took nearly 35 stitches to enclose the area. Sweetie ate the day after surgery!

@chris122395 You can use flexbox to do that easily. Take off the style= attribute, go to your CSS file / <style> section. In the container that's holding that image (whatever just outside it), do display: flex; , align-items: center; . Two properties, separate lines.

Hello,
I am working thru the beginner HTML challenges. I am on no. 58 - Using Responsive containers with Bootstrap fluid containers.

I cannot get this statement satisfied:
"To get started, we should nest all of our HTML in a div element with the class 'container-fluid'."

I was only able to put a "<div>'......</div>" around everything else, but not get a class

The lesson is waiting for:
1} "Your div element should have the class container-fluid."
2) "Make sure you have nested all HTML elements in .container-fluid."

My "<div> .......</div>" did not satisfy the second statement.

I think the whole problem is that I am not creating or placing the class "container-fluid" in the right place.

Any help.. i.e. the answer, would be aprreciated.
