@dkohlruss Just a few design issues I noticed:

  • Black text for your subheader is hard to read against the black/white image.
  • There's more whitespace above "My Stuff" than below it, might want to center that a bit better.
  • Be consistent with puncuation.
  • The drop-shadow on the title and hamburger is a bit cluttered.
  • I would reconsider the hamburger altogether. You don't want to hide your social buttons, put them closer to the bottom so people can flow off your page later.
  • Contact and about don't do anything. Projects is unneccsary since I'm going to scroll anyways.

Other than that, it looks awesome! Nice work and good responsiveness.

Help on Target the same element with multiple jQuery Selectors. It's telling me,"Only add one class with each of your three selectors." Here's my code <script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated");
$(".btn").addClass("shake");
$("#target1").addClass("animated shake btn-primary");

});
</script>

@AaronSamuelJ you select the element according to CSS rules, so if it is just the element - you don't need a period. If it's a class it is with a period and if it's an id you add # before

@CharJars div is a way to group several elements together, while giving them the same class/id. div is an element that always starts in a new line and the element that comes after it would be in a new line as well (unless you design it differently). I hope it helps :)

@JohnnyBizzel I inserted the closing bracket, but still no luck getting the form background to turn green. Is #cat-photo-element { background-color: green;} the only thing I need for the background color on the form to change or is there something else I'm missing? @sasusis14 Okay, your problem is that placeholder= is an attribute, not a separate element. It's just like the type="text" inside your <input>. It needs to be inside there (because it's an attribute).

@jeremydeshawn You need a p element selector in <style>. See how you have a .red-text class selector? An element selector just uses the element name, without the beginning dot. Like, for h2:
h2 {
  color: red;
}
Ryan
@Azbo400
Feb 15 2017 04:12

@jeremydeshawn okay, so in your style tags you want to have

p{

}

That will say for all the p tags
then INSIDE that you want to add the code to make the p elements font size 16 pixels so,
font-family:16px;

@rossauusa col are a class declared into a library called Bootstrap.
In order for them to work they have to:

  • be in a div
    -that div must be inside a row
    -the row must be inside a container or container-fluid

So:

<div class="container">
    <div class="row">
         <div class="col-*-*">
                //the element you want inside your colum

It says to "Nest the existing img element within an a element."

Here is what the a element looks like: <p>Click here for <a href="#">cat photos</a>.</p

And use only the class names to style. Like: only .smaller-image instead of img.smaller-image @Itsstussy
