How to target the same elements with multiple jQuery selectors
Vizij
@Vizij
Feb 16 2017 00:02
@andrewlikes There's a couple ways to do that. Personally, if you're just putting images (no captions, nothing like that), I'd probably just make a single container around them and use flexbox. Maybe use the img-responsive class from Bootstrap to deal with sizing.

@andrewlikes Image is a block element. You can specify direction using float property. Such as float:left and right
<img>
but as @Vizij said there are multiple ways to do it

Your h2 element should use the font Lobster.

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
<p class="red-text">Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

Doesn't Container fluid make the <div> element fill the screen? and then you make columns porportionally by using class="col-m-4" or 6 or 12, etc?

If I'm using two editors (html and css) should I be putting the <head> tags in the css editor since it is something that isn't reflected on the pabe itself?
Jay Jariwala
@jayjariwala
Feb 16 2017 00:10
@WillDcodes .container-fluid is used to get a full width container, spanning the entire width of your viewport.
@cwborion <head> is an html tag not css class so you must put it in HTML file

Can somebody please help me with Comparisons with the Logical And Operator in JavaScript? Here is my code:

  function testLogicalAnd(val) {

  // Only change code below this line

  if (val && 25) {
    if (val && 50) {
      return "Yes";
    }
  }

  // Only change code above this line

  return "No";
}

// Change this value to test

testLogicalAnd(10);

@darshams no u will be targeting one element but with different selectors
Daris Shamsi
@darshams
Feb 16 2017 03:04
these r the steps listed
Use the $("button") selector.
Use the $(".btn") selector.
Use the $("#target1") selector.
Only add one class with each of your three selectors.
Your #target1 element should have the classes animated‚ shake and btn-primary.

@oooooooowen: In the search bar type in github [name of challenge]… most likely there's a solution posted. Nevertheless the whole point is to find ways of solving each challenge on your own… with a little help from other campers or Reading, Searching, and Asking… not seeking outright solutions.

Most questions that you can possibly asked have been referenced or answered on stackoverflow.

@hermesalexis: Nuevo is the wrong text.

hi I am doing a FCC challenge "Make A Person". It says "bob instanceof Person should return true." How should I do that??
Here is my code

var Person = function(firstAndLast) {
  var firstLastArr = firstAndLast.split(" ");
  var first = firstLastArr[0];
  var last = firstLastArr[1];

  function split(fullName) {
    var split = fullName.split(" ");
    return split;
  }

  var personObj = {
    getFullName : function() {
      return firstAndLast;
    },
    getFirstName : function() {
      return first;
    },
    getLastName : function() {
      return last;
    },
    setFirstName : function(x) {
      first = x;
      firstAndLast = first+" "+last;
    },
    setLastName : function(x) {
      last = x;
      firstAndLast = first+" "+last;
    },
    setFullName : function(x) {
      firstAndLast = x;
      var sp = split(x);
      first = sp[0];
      last = sp[1];
    }
  };

    return personObj;
};

var bob = new Person('Bob Ross');
bob.getFullName();

@deeztricks: You need a selector (something that the font-size property can be applied to). Reference the example given:

h1 {
  font-size: 30px;
}

In the ex. the h1 element was the selector… so the font-size property was added to it.

Your selector should be the p element.

    }

    if (contacts[i].hasOwnProperty(prop)) {

    if (contacts[i].firstName == firstName && contacts[i].hasOwnProperty(prop)) {

@TheFortress: The why is just due to convention adopted by javascript programmers … many languages also use a form like camelCase in nameing variables (though some use - and _ to seperate words as well).

The how is just as I mentioned here:
