Feb 17 2017 00:15
Hi guys thanks for the help it says I've completed removing the h2 style attribute, creating a style element, ensured the stylesheet h2 declaration is valid with semicolon and closing brace, and style elements are valid and have a closing tag. The red x is saying my h2 element is not blue... here's what I have @ColtonJD @Manish-Giri

<style>
h2 {color: blue;}
</style>

Hi folks. Asking for some help on a HTML exercise on freecodecamp. I've gotten stuck on turning an image into a link. [Directions were: Nest the existing img element within an a element.
Your a element should be a dead link with a href attribute set to #.
Make sure each of your a elements has a closing tag.] I'll paste the code below...
<a href="#">

Font Awesome is a convenient library of icons. These icons are vector graphics, stored in the .svg file format. These icons are treated just like fonts. You can specify their size using pixels, and they will assume the font size of their parent HTML elements.

You can add Font Awesome to any app just by including it by adding the following code to the top of your HTML:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.5.0/css/font-awesome.min.css"/>

In this case, we've already added it for you to this page behind the scenes.

The i element was originally used to make other elements italic, but is now commonly used for icons. You add the Font Awesome classes to the i element to turn it into an icon, for example:

<i class="fa fa-info-circle"></i>

Use Font Awesome to add a thumbs-up icon to your like button by giving it an i element with the classes fa and fa-thumbs-up.

ut the Like, Info and Delete buttons side-by-side by nesting all three of them within one <div class="row"> element, then each of them within a <div class="col-xs-4"> element.

The row class is applied to a div, and the buttons themselves can be nested within it.

@kaylafruean you should use CSS to center something. With text you would use text-align: center. Other things like images you can center through margins: margin: 0 auto;

Please help me. How do I do this?

Size your Images
CSS has a property called width that controls an element's width. Just like with fonts, we'll use px (pixels) to specify the image's width.

For example, if we wanted to create a CSS class called larger-image that gave HTML elements a width of 500 pixels, we'd use:

<style>
.larger-image {
width: 500px;
}
</style>
Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

Your img element should have the class smaller-image.
Your image should be 100 pixels wide. Browser zoom should be at 100%.

@LukasWalker it is a CSS style definition of a class
2 stages, define your styles in a CSS file or <style> tag at top of the page ....
then add class attr. to HTML DOM elements.

@t2hari the next step is to add the smaller-image class to the img element here -

Feb 17 2017 03:14
@t2hari adding a class/ID to an element is a two step process -
  1. create the class/ID in the style tags
  2. add it to the desired HTML element in the HTML code

almost @AGame20 :) you don't need that form attribute in the input tag
type, class, placeholder, required are attributes for the input tag. form is not an attribute
won't break it but it doesn't need to be there as it does nothing

@Yousufabusaly bro , background-color is not a class name by default
@yo
@Yousufabusaly you can use it , but it would only apply to a .background-color{} selector
Yousuf Abusaly
@Yousufabusaly
Feb 17 2017 03:37
So i dont have to define it as a class?
akramabdulrahman
@akramabdulrahman

@Androbat the video shows what the problem was...which is exactly what I told you..your floated divs do not contain any content. For instance, in the video, <div class="logo"> had the img nested inside it. While in your pen, your <div class="logo"> was empty, and the img was placed outside the div.

@coymeetsworld now that I think of it, even though it sounds wrong, shouldn't it be more like O(N). Because if you're inserting after/before a specific list/node in the LL, you gotta find the node first..on average, you'll be looking at half the items in the LL, so it comes to O(N) to find the right spot, then O(1) to insert...

Unless of course you're inserting at the front/end of the LL, in which it's O(1)..
