Good evening everyone, I'm on the "Use The Bootstrap Grid to Put Elements Side by Side" lesson, and I'm struggling with all of the nesting of div elements. Could anyone shed some light on this?
Andrew Shieh

Feb 18 2017 00:20
@NonToast alright
you know how to nest?
or know how it works
Chris Alley
@NonToast
Feb 18 2017 00:21
@andrewlikes Yes sir, I understand nesting, but when it says to nest them all and then nest them individually is what is confusing me.
Andrew Shieh
@andrewlikes
Feb 18 2017 00:21
okay so its like having a dream within a dream within a dream
so first it's asking you to nest everything in <div class="row">
thats the first dream
and then to nest all your buttons into individual <div class="col...">
and all those individual dreams will be in the div class row

<div class="row">

<div>
buttons
</div>

<div>
buttons
</div>

</div>

get the concept?

Hi there, sorry to be a little offtopic (it's not exactly related to coding, but I found this community to be so active ..) please excuse my english.. i'm not native
My question is Database-File-Edition--related. (see TLDR version below)
I'm very new to the whole area of DB (which is a quite wide term, to say the least) so i won't bother introducing further, and go straight to my questions:
since Firefox 45, we can't modify the browser's default sites' permissions. I'm on it right now to make that modif , and I think I'll be required to modify some sqlite file from FF's installed client. Would you consider DB Browser for SQLite's (sqlitebrowser) the right solution for such a quick, single, sqlite file edition ??
TLDR: what tool would you recommend (client-side, light & standalone preferably), for quick editing of a single .sqlite file ?

@JeremyW0714 once again. you need to use a class, not div. Read the instructions. You need to use the class silver-background. thats one of the requirements which is why it's not passing. it looks right, but you're not meeting all of the requiremements.

@boodro30 they're seperate elements. So waht you're doign is putting an img inside of a link. Hence <a><img></a>
the img is unique in that it's self closing and you don't need a </img> tag

Ramiro V.
@shokuzuna

ordered list means everything you write below that will be listed by numbers like 1-house 2-car 3-keys
Andrew Shieh

Chris Jantzen

@Sklossmonster adding a class/ID to an element is a two step process -
  1. create the class/ID in the style tags
  2. add it to the desired HTML element in the HTML code

Lucas Scalzo
@Lu314
Feb 18 2017 04:34
heres the instructions

With CSS, there are hundreds of CSS properties that you can use to change the way an element looks on your page.

When you entered <h2 style="color: red">CatPhotoApp</h2>, you were giving that individual h2 element an inline style.

That's one way to add style to an element, but a better way is by using CSS, which stands for Cascading Style Sheets.

At the top of your code, create a style element like this:

<style>
</style>
Inside that style element, you can create a CSS selector for all h2 elements. For example, if you wanted all h2 elements to be red, your style element would look like this:

<style>
h2 {color: red;}
</style>
Note that it's important to have both opening and closing curly braces ({ and }) around each element's style. You also need to make sure your element's style is between the opening and closing style tags. Finally, be sure to add the semicolon to the end of each of your element's styles.

Delete your h2 element's style attribute and instead create a CSS style element. Add the necessary CSS to turn all h2 elements blue.
