@Kuzminho you sure it isn't a bootstrap class? Codepen autoloads bootstrap 4, and it could be a class used in 3.

@RiseOfHaxers actually not yet, I know if they are in the same file structure you can add a catch all as the final router to make sure express always sends back the index.html file. But that's not very RESTful either =/. unless it's not really possible to complete the timestamp project with an angular front end and a restful backend. It's ok, thank you though!

Feb 24 2017 00:24

My question is sizing the image challenge.

<style>
.larger-image {
width: 500px;
}
</style>

I hope i have that right
Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.
Johnny
@JohnnyBizzel
Feb 24 2017 00:25
@Condell your main app file should handle the routing to the Angular code. This one uses Node for the API and React for the front end: https://github.com/JohnnyBizzel/voting-app/blob/master/app.js
All the React code lives in the same project under src folder.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have an html file with links to both a bootstrap css and my custom css in the head.
I also have an <hr> element in my body but it appears as though the bootstrap css is preventing me from changing the thickness or color of the horizontal line no matter what I do. I've tried in-line style attributes, targeting the <hr> tag in my custom css, targeting a class applied to the <hr> tag, and even using the !important property. Any thoughts?

Again, here's a diagram of an a element for your reference:

a diagram of how anchor tags are composed with the same text as on the following line

Here's an example:

<p>Here's a <a href="https://freecodecamp.com"> link to Free Code Camp</a> for you to follow.</p>

Nesting just means putting one element inside of another element.

Now nest your existing a element within a new p element (just after the existing h2 element) so that the surrounding paragraph says "View more cat photos", but where only "cat photos" is a link, and the rest of the text is plain text.

So far I have this
<p> <a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com" </a>
cat photos </p>

are you having trouble figuring out how to nest elements it took me a while
penguio
@penguio
Feb 24 2017 02:14
@renciso218 your almost there... You have to close your <a href=""></a> element. Also the text is supposed to be View more cat photos.
In between the a tag... you need to put cat photos
example <a href="">Penguio is awesome</a>
Rafael Enciso
@renciso218
Feb 24 2017 02:15
<p> <a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com" cat photos </a> </p> @penguio
???
ohhh

<p> <a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com" > </a>
cat photos </p>
@penguio
???
penguio
@penguio
Feb 24 2017 02:16
Now <p> <a href="http://www.freecatphotoapp.com" > </a> cat photos </p> you see where you havecat photos. put it in between your <a href="">Penguio is awesome</a>
Nesting literally just means put inside. it's sort of like a shell. just can have lots and lots of layers
Rafael Enciso

Heres is what ive got for that Andrew Overshiner @andrewlo3 Feb 24 2017 04:26 Can anyone tell me why the example codepen works perfectly with centering/bootstrap, but when I copy and paste the code into my own codepen, it doesn’t center or readjust?
