Need help. Here is the note....
.....You should only be targeting one element and adding only one class at a time. Altogether, your three individual selectors will end up adding the three classes shake, animated, and btn-primary to #target1.

  var sum = 0;

  //removes multiples of primes
  for (i = 2; i <= limit; i++) {
    if(primes[i]) {
      for (var x = i * i; x < num; x += i) {
        primes[x] = false;
      }
    }
  }

  //replaces boolean values with numbers
  for (i = 2; i < num; i++) {

except instead of blue you're making things red
so instead of creating a blue-text class you're creating red-text. Instead of specifying the rule to color blue, its red

Hmm. I think your font size style needs to mirror your red text style:
.font-size {
font-size 6px;
}
oi. Or you know, whatever size that was supposed to be lol
But if you're supposed to add the font size to the red text style, just take the period out from before font-size
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Mar 02 2017 02:23
@jsaucedo1984 font-size isn't a class
shouldn't be a dot there
you need to create another style, nothing should be updated to red-text

is this how i combine both classes? logically, it seems like it.$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated bounce");
}); $(".text-primary").addClass("animated shake");
Am i missing something that's right there infront of my face?
@dancan0111 Hello to you too!

post it in code form if you can
in what you have typed, you're closing with the curly brace before you second addClass function
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated bounce");
 $(".text-primary").addClass("animated shake");
});
get rid of that last ) too @corenaxavier
or no keep it lulz
im near the same area
What's a handy website for a bunch of elements/classes/function of html/css/jquery/bootstrap?

Then use jQuery's .addClass() function to add the classes animated and shake

Hello, not sure what I am doing wrong here:

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated bounce");

$(".well") .addClass(animated shake);
});
</script>

task: Use the jQuery addClass() function to give the classes animated and shake to all your elements with the class well.
badalsaibo
@heyDante
Mar 02 2017 04:22
@ahilerio3 by creating a class and adding it to the div.
Anh Nguyen

@angelanichole you're missing quotes around animated shake
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Mar 02 2017 04:23
@angelanichole classes you add need to be a String (i.e. you're missing the quotes)
its going to look for variables named animated and shake w/o that, which don't exist
@grandcasino you don't need to know much math unless you're programming something that would be math or physics intensive like 3D gaming or some science applications

Nesting is just placing one (or more) elements inside of another one. You did before when you placed an anchor element inside of a paragraph element:
<p>View more <a href="#">cat photos</a></p>
Likewise, place your input element inside of your form element. @mcmuffin6o
button is an element not a class @corenaxavier

Just take a div that has a cloud
Then make a function in JS
make use of any good quotes apis available like forismatic and then you need to make the text in that div from what you get from api @Nayenne
use ; instead of .

@dartise: You nest elements between (or inside if you want to think of it that way) other element. The nested element should be inside of the opening and closing tags unnested element:

<form> ——> opening tag
</form> ——> closing tag
<form > nested element here </form>

ip address aren't exact locations. Also you are just using an ip address to get the user's relative lat, long, or just the city and the country required to get the weather info for that location.

Help

How do I create my own custom quotes for the Random Quote Machine?

__mifflin__
@cdrainxv
Mar 02 2017 06:12

Create an object like this:

const quotes = {
  quote: "I am the spiciest meme lord",
  author: "@cdrainxv"
};

Then just create a random function to get the quotes inside of that object.

@jphivo Hello Johnny, to add multiple classes use class="class1 class2 class3" .
__mifflin__
@cdrainxv
Mar 02 2017 06:15
@heyDante: Why would you need one if you are making your own quotes object and including it in the same file as the rest of your code on Facebook. If you made your quotes object as a json file on a different location… then you could use a get request to get those quotes, but there's no need for that.

@jphivo Yes. You have made a mistake by adding multiple classes like this class="btn btn-default" class="target"

You only need one class attribute. You can then add mulitple classes to it as you did previously for the img element:

Hi John
I just started to learn coding with FCC a few days ago. I had no real knowledge before but I am going through the lessons faster than the 5 hours or so indication. Maybe just 1-2 hours. I just wanted to check wether that is okay or am I doing something wrong and should take more time to really remember everything like learning vocabulary?

My advice being a self-motivated coder all from books and online stuff, just keep taking in the same topic from different resources. If X topic makes no sense from X lesson go to a different website, book, mentor, whatever. Eventually it will click!
and this chat helps!

The advice I've been given is don't focus so much on memorization, because in the field you'll have resources (like Google) available to help you out in the field. Eventually through enough usage memorization will help in time.
