It is still seperate though, although they aren't on seperate files. There will be an update to use multiple tabs in the near future to have seperate files for css and html.

1) inside the element tags,
2) inside the html between the <style></style> tags, or
3) reference your css files <link ref=css> in your head

Hey guys need some help. I'm working on random quote machine.
I want to generate random quote every time when i clicks the button but actually once the page loaded. The quote remains the same.
$("#getMessage").on("click",function(){
  $.getJSON("http://quotesondesign.com/wp-json/posts?filter[orderby]=rand&filter[posts_per_page]=1&callback=", function(json) {
      var html = "";
      json.forEach(function(val){
      html += "<h4>Arthur: " + val.title + "</h4>";
      html += "<p>" + val.content + "</p>";

    });
    $(".message").html(html);
  });
});

@BennSaid sequence doesn't matter in that case
thats not the issue you're having
youre not asked to style the h1 element
@miko0101 you need to add one class to each of those selectors. Your first two have none and the last has 3

@Muhammad07 , You don't need to paste it here. First do all your coding on a text editor and then paste that in codepen or any other static (Free) hosting site, so that anyone can visit the site you made. By providing the link to your project (Site), You can move on to next project / Challenges in FreeCodeCamp.

Change the Font Size of an Element
Font size is controlled by the font-size CSS property, like this:

h1 {
font-size: 30px;
}
Create a second p element after the existing p element with the following kitty ipsum text: Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.

Inside the same <style> tag that contains your red-text class, create an entry for p elements and set the font-size to 16 pixels (16px).

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge.

Also, please do not add a class attribute to your new p element.

Heyy everyone, I am attempting to get a function to run when a page loads according to a variable which is set. Put into context, its a random number guessing game and the user starts the game, selects difficulty of easy (1-50), Medium (1-100) and Hard (1-200). Depending on which difficulty they choose will change the variable to generate my number (this is all done). All I need to do is get the math.random function to run as the page is loaded. Here is some code to elaborate what I am saying
<button onclick="creategennum()">Create New Random Number</button>
let gennum;
  function creategennum() {
  //var qs = new Querystring();
    var diff = getQueryString('diff');
    switch(diff) {
    case "easy":
        var range = 50;
        break;
    case "medium":
        var range = 100;
        break;
    case "hard":
        var range = 200;
        break;
    default:
        var range = null;
    }
    gennum = Math.floor((Math.random()*range) + 1); //random number between 1 and range
    window.alert(gennum)
So currently I have a button which needs to be pressed in order to generate the number, which is kind of... stupid I guess

docs is a link -> click it and you'll go to the JQuery official docs that expalin what .reday() does.
$ is JQuery selector.
load can be an alternative to ready. Depends on your needs. The docs will help you in this

Yes I know @Marmiz, I am a complete and absolute noob no doubt about that, though theres really no need to -_- me.... And I have absolutely no knowledge of JQuery and I don't plan on using it within this simple game, there has to be a simpler method.
Claudio Restifo

@MikeyZee

I am a complete and absolute noob no doubt about that

My fault on that, I assumed you knew your way around since you were using ES6 syntax. I'll try to articulate more; netherless reading some documentation will greatly benefit you

I suggested JQuery sine lest you manipulate the DOM easily, but since you don't want to use it there's a global event for the "when the page is loaded" in javascript: window.onload =

From that you can call any function that will trigger as:

window.onload = function() {
  console.log('I'm loaded')
  // more stuff if needed
};

More documentationfor you

hi all, struggling with Style Text Inputs as Form Controls
Give the text input in your form the class form-control.
<form class="form-control">input</form>

@bkurkiewicz the function goes inside script
<script>
 // my function

@mcvdt07

Give the text input

means that the class should go onto the <input> tag

could someone help me, i need to put: $("button").addclass("animated bounce"); inside the document ready function, do i add this inside the function () or outside it
because i´ve tried both option and is not working

@greusa10 goes inside the function. Be aware that JS is case-sensitive so:
.addclass("animated bounce") is wrong!
