@armybrat78 so you have to close the comment, which is currently all encompassing (except for the irritating <code> bit at the end), before <h2> and open another after </h2>. Is that what you're asking?

Hello, I'm having troubles with the challenge "Size your Images". When I add the smaller image code to the img element, this smaller image code becomes text under the cat image.
Helge Holler
@hholler
Mar 18 2017 02:52
@Lao-an then you probably wrote it outside of the <img ... > element

@Lao-an the style-definition goes insite the <style> part above. In the <img> you need a class="smaller-image"
Lao-an
@Lao-an
Mar 18 2017 02:57
Oh, so I need to separate:
<style>
.smaller-image {
width: 100px;

</style>
and place 2 different places, correct?
armybrat78
@armybrat78
Mar 18 2017 02:59
@hholler: I can't find out what to do with the questions: Leave your h2 element uncommented so that it is visible on your page.
Helge Holler
@hholler
Mar 18 2017 02:59
@Lao-an you don't need to open <style> ...</style> again; you can just put class definition .smaller-image {width:100px}before the closing </style> that you already have. Then you need to tell the <img> that it should use this class.
@armybrat78 when you start on that assignment everything is commented out. You need to close the existing comment before <h2> and open another after </h2>

Each of your checkboxes should be nested within its own label element.

All related checkbox inputs should have the same name attribute.

Here's an example of a checkbox:

<label><input type="checkbox" name="personality"> Loving</label>

Add to your form a set of three checkboxes. Each checkbox should be nested within its own label element. All three should share the name attribute of personality.

Hi! how do I exclude the underscore when I use str.replace()?
I tried str.replace(/w[^]/g) but I just can't get eye to print eye

There seems to be many variations but they are really confusing without proper explanation of the syntax

how do I nest .container-fluid into all of my HTML elements? I'm confused
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Mar 18 2017 06:35
@AlanArt the view more probably doesn't need to be in " "'s
@Jhezryl you nest all your html in it
it's a pre-created Bootstrap class so you on;y have to assign it to a div at the top of the html and close the div at the bottom of all the code...
@Jhezryl the html is the part below the CSS, and the CSS here is the stuff in the <style></style> tags..
@driftshift it's really based on each person.. I think the timeframes they give are estimates..
@driftshift some people can do an exercise in a few minutes and go through 20 or 30 exercises a night... many people veer off and self-study other online resources.. and so take longer...
Paul
@driftshift
Mar 18 2017 06:40

@DarrenfJ im on the challenges in freecodecamp and I can't get past this: First, you'll need to make a call to Google to grab the Lobster font and load it into your HTML.

Copy the following code snippet and paste it into the top of your code editor:

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

Now you can set Lobster as a font-family value on your h2 element.

Apply the font-family of Lobster to your h2 element.

Michael Abdelmalak
@Mikeloa
Mar 18 2017 07:10
@lalandon literally just copy paste the code on top of everything
Alexander Køpke
@alexanderkopke
Mar 18 2017 07:10
@DarrenfJ basically it is a library that allows you to write things faster because you're writing less code. For example you can use one of their font variables, it comes with build in fallbacks, like five of them per font variable. Another one is you can tint your colors easily, so if you have red but you want it a little less bright you can use tint to do that. And there are loads of other stuff like that.

hi @\all , i am getting this error after build my node application using webpack,

Refused to apply inline style because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "default-src 'self'". Either the 'unsafe-inline' keyword, a hash ('sha256-33YGiROm4Pzv0xXIPo82M0Dt2zrdnP4IgbJq1WeAtf8='), or a nonce ('nonce-...') is required to enable inline execution. Note also that 'style-src' was not explicitly set, so 'default-src' is used as a fallback.

, how to handle this ?

*anchor
<p>Please click this

Will turn into "Please click this link to visit google"

Hey guys I need some help, So I have been challenged to responsively style radio buttons. This are the instructions: Nest all of your radio buttons inside one div with the class row.
Nest each of your radio buttons inside its own div with the class col-xs-6.
Make sure each of your div elements has a closing tag.
The challenge is to nest all my radio buttons within a <div class="row"> element. Then nest each of them within a <div class="col-xs-6"> element.
Earlier they had been nested in a <div class="row"> element. Then nest each of them within a <div class="col-xs-4"> element.
Am pretty much confused here...... any help

Can someone please give me a hint on how to aproach this challenge? This is my code so far:
function uniteUnique(arr) {
    var bar = [];
    for (var i = 0; i < arguments.length; i += 1) {
        bar.push(arguments[i]);
    }
    var smth = bar.reduce(function(a, b) {
            return a.concat(b);
        }
    );
    return smth;
}
uniteUnique([1, 3, 2], [1, [5]], [2, [4]]);

Mar 18 2017 09:46
@rumpumpum in case you're having trouble.. filter has more options. filter(function(element, index, array).. element is the current element in the iteration, index is its index and array is the array filter iterates. You can use array.indexOf(element) to find position the first time the element occurred, indexOf returns the index of the first occurrence. So if indexOf is 0, but index is 5...
