I am not sure what I did wrong here, but I am suppose to use the .smaller class to make the width 100 px. I put it in and do not know why it is not working. I have changed the zoom on the browser to 100% like the instructions said:

Why did it have me nest the other buttons into a single div only to then individually div another set. hmmmm if that works I feel like the instructions are very misleading
Id agree Microsoft of course just wants to sling there browser so it uses way less battery life then chrome which i dont yet understand how but hopefully there is a way around it

@LordZylo you were right. Idk if your like a moderator or not for freecodecamp or you just are hella advanced but the way that challeneged was structured is, I think very misleading though it could have just been a glitch in my browsers matrix

use your for loops and go through the range in the list
if its divisible by 2 then its even so add it to even
if not its odd so add it to odd
then store the index for each number as even or odd

@kseoul in my CSS section anything I do in the h1 and and body section doesn't change on the page for example my font family in body the text is unchanged on the page yet if I move that to the .nav-pills section it changes fine. Am I missing a div for my body and h1 class in the html?

put it in there then take it out of the actual html part

hi all, still stuck on challenge 53, this is what the challenge asked me to do element.
We can prove that the body element exists here by giving it a background-color of black.
We can do this by adding the following to our style element:

} ...this is what I did

@bruowbie Great, glad it fixed your problem. the attribute names (for example href) don't need to be in quotes. Usually, what you are setting your attribute equal to needs to be in quotes.

The things inside style is how they look... but you need to have them inside the body as well, otherwise they are not "created".
for example:

Why are my flash messages always showing and acting like functions?
Here I defind error and success..

app.use(function(req,res,next){                                  
    res.locals.currentUser=req.user;                              //Looks in the requests local properties for req.user which gets stored in currentuser var

Here i use it in a route middleware.. so when your not logged in it shows a message.

middlewareObj.isLoggedIn = function(req, res, next){
    if(req.isAuthenticated()){

    }
    req.flash("error", "You need to be logged in to do that");
    res.redirect("/login");
}

And here i include it in my site via the header.. If the message exists and has more than 0 characters in it show it- else dont- But its just showing the function of the header instead.

I think the .map() works on every array element, and it would return a new element corresponding to each element in the old array, in my earlier example, since there was no callback for the elements which wouldn't match, it returned undefined.

value of something is what follows that thing with an =

red-text is the valueof theclass` attribute

Ok the reason is your Cat Photo App text is inside of your style tags, and that is the heading you are trying to make blue. So you need to move that out of your style tag and wrap it in a <h2> tag.
Your styling is correct, there's just not h2 element for it to apply to.

I did a jsperf test on Finding the Longest Word in a Sentence, first using a for loop, and then through using reduce, and the for loop was faster. I tested my palindrome function as well, and a for loop was faster in that case as well. Are for loops generally faster like this?

do we need the .map()? coz it looks like .map() returns the same array that arr was -

var callBack = ( acc , cur ) => Math.max( acc, cur );
arr.map( el => el )
          .reduce( callBack, 0 );

instead, simply -

var callBack = ( acc , cur ) => Math.max( acc, cur );
return arr.reduce( callBack, 0 );
