@iamryandnelson my guess would be that your nav bar <ul> also needs to sit within your container-fluid div tag. I don't think the site will respond to screen resolution if some of the elements aren't inside that container. I think! I'm still figuring it out myself. I hope that helps

<h1 class ="pink-text blue-text">Hello World!</h1>

@cmunoz26 look at how you created and implemented red-text
Doni Yafi
@yafiwebdev
Mar 28 2017 01:14
@cmunoz26 you're still doing the same thing, you don't put the width: 100px; inside the img tag, do it just like p and h2 , between style tags
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld
Mar 28 2017 01:14
you created a class inside your style tags, then you reference that class in your HTML elements

yeah like .red-text
Coy Sanders
@coymeetsworld

same concept
notice its not <h2 class=red-text { color: red}> or anything like that, in the h2 tag you just specify the name of the class, not what the class actually does

@hash004 https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Operators/in value in args won't work because args in an array and you'd specify the index in the array... for example 0 in args would be true as is 1 in args while 2 in args would be false. you can use indexOf to figure out if args contains value. this works well inside a filter function as you have there.

@zfleitz there is no p2 tag, it's just p. You can have more than one
also your 2nd closing tag is wrong, look at how you did the first
@Marmiz right, but they could go to 4. May take more time though they probably wouldn't
not sure when they plan to release it yet either

Hi everyone. This code isn't working in code pen. The problem is that the "on("click, .." function is not loading the new element:

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#getMessage").on("click", function(){
// Only change code below this line.
$(".message").html("Here is the message");
// Only change code above this line.
});
});
</script>

<div class="container-fluid">
<div class = "row text-center">
<h2>Cat Photo Finder</h2>
</div>
<div class = "row text-center">
<div class = "col-xs-12 well message">

<div class = "row text-center">
<div class = "col-xs-12">

@carinetee for really small screen the title (Stephen Hawking) overlaps with the black frame.
Also for small screen the link at the bottom and the image does not align with the content making it look a bit "asymmetrical".

But are really minor details: Good job!! :+1: :+1:

@coymeetsworld the problem is - I don't have a direct index.html in the repo, instead, I've got multiple folders inside the repo, each of which corresponds to a fcc project, each such folder has an index.html..
Coy Sanders

Mar 28 2017 03:02
@TanukiTom perhaps but you don't really need to know why
they tell you factorialize(0) should equal 1 so just take it at face value
you can google why that is if you're interested, but its not necessary to complete thechallenge
@Manish-Giri oh see yeah I did the same thing
ended up separating them all out

If the text is longer than your image, you may have to put both text and image in their own DIVs and float those. That will give you a left and right column.

the part between the style tags is CSS, think of it as instructions on how to "paint" your car.
The actual car gets made outside the style tags, think of it as the "production zone" - that's HTML.

Note that — like with Surge — GitHub Pages also has trouble with client-side routing. create-react-app lists a few solutions in the documentation for GitHub Pages integration.

A lot of time it's enough to rename index.html into 200.html

Q: Your stylesheet should declare a red-text class and have its color set to red.
This is what I have so far:

<style>
h2 {
color:red;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

Q:Use the $("button") selector.
Use the $(".btn") selector.
Use the $("#target1") selector.
Only add one class with each of your three selectors. Your #target1 element should have the classes animated‚ shake and btn-primary. MY CODE: <script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("button").addClass("animated")
$(".btn").addClass("shake")
$("#target1").addClass("animated")
$("#target1").addClass("shake")

});

Hi, I'm making my tribute page. At the end I'd like to include 3 buttons that each link to a different page. The buttons are done using bootstrap and I can't seem to get them to:

  1. Match the background color of the rest of the page
  2. All of the lighter-grey area in the screenshot is working as a button, however it seems only the middle of the light grey area is. Any way to stretch that button a bit?

Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}

.smaller-image {
width: 100px;
}

</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. ">

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
