Can somebody please help me with Replacing If Else Chains with Switch in JavaScript? Here is my code:

function chainToSwitch(val) {
  var answer = "";
  // Only change code below this line

  switch (val === "bob") {
    case 1:
      answer = "Marley";
      break;
    case 2:
      answer = "The Answer";
      break;
    case 3:
      answer = "There is no #1";
      break;
    case 4:
      answer = "Missed me by this much!";
      break;
    default:
      answer = "Ate Nine";
      break;
  }

  // Only change code above this line
  return answer;
}

// Change this value to test
chainToSwitch(7);

@AdamSchaefer Then something is missing or wrong with your code. If you look at the individual steps, there will be green checkmarks next to the ones that are correct, and a red x next to the ones that need attention.

How do I do this? Font size is controlled by the font-size CSS property, like this:

h1 {
font-size: 30px;
}
Create a second p element after the existing p element with the following kitty ipsum text: Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.

Inside the same <style> tag that contains your red-text class, create an entry for p elements and set the font-size to 16 pixels (16px).

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge.

Also, please do not add a class attribute to your new p element.

Between the style tags, give the p elements font-size of 16px. Browser and Text zoom should be at 100%.

<style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}
.p {
font-size: 16px;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

Inside your style element, change the h2 selector to .red-text and update the color's value from blue to red.
Give your h2 element the class attribute with a value of 'red-text'.
That's what I need to do.
Here's what I have: <style>
.red-text {
color: red;
}
</style>

Hello everybody, here is my roadblock of the moment: It says I'm striking-out on all three goals so far, but I've tried to configure it a few different ways to no avail. What the task is asking: Nest your text input element within a form element.
Make sure your form has an action attribute which is set to /submit-cat-photo
Make sure your form element has a closing tag.
My (incorrect) interpretation: <form action="/submit-cat-photo"></form>

@thekholm80 with a flat array you can imagine if you took the x wide by y high grid and turned it into a single line of y * x where every width is placed side by side y times. then you have one very simple data set that you can easily loop through

@thekholm80 like L = live and D = dead. This:

Kyle Holm
@thekholm80
May 01 2017 02:14
@LiGAymeric stylistically the <div> element does nothing. It's just a division, a way to say this is this and that is that

Hey guys! So I'm working through "Eloquent JavaScript" and just finished the "Deep Comparison" exercise. I wound up with a very different solution than is given in the book, and I feel like it's a lot more elegant and straightforward and it seems to do exactly the same thing. Thoughts?
My code:

function deepEqual(x,y){
    if(x === null||y === null){
        return undefined;
    }
    if(x === y){
        return true;
    }
    if(typeof x === 'object'&&typeof y === 'object'){
        for(var i in x){
            if(!y.hasOwnProperty(i)||!deepEqual(x[i],y[i])){
                return false;
            }
        }
        return true;
    }
    return false;
}

VS. the answer given:

function deepEqual(a, b) {
  if (a === b) return true;

  if (a == null || typeof a != "object" ||
      b == null || typeof b != "object")
    return false;

  var propsInA = 0, propsInB = 0;

  for (var prop in a)
    propsInA += 1;

  for (var prop in b) {
    propsInB += 1;
    if (!(prop in a) || !deepEqual(a[prop], b[prop]))
      return false;
  }

  return propsInA == propsInB;
}

@josehinojosa did you know that goku never said that quote in the source?

Goku's speech (which is known as his "I am" speech) is completely invented, and it has nothing to do with the Japanese version. The line "Ally to good, nightmare to you" in the Funimation dub, is completely different from the Japanese line "I am Son Goku, a Super Saiyan" (Funimation's dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai features a much more accurate version of Goku's speech).

interesting right?

Multiple classes are added to elements like this:

reate a new p element around your a element.
Your a element should be nested within your new p element.
Your p element should have the text "View more " (with a space after it).
