you have to create a new rule in your CSS style tags.. and add that class to your h2 element... @reddred does your instructions say create a class called .blue-text i believe?
so it would be like .blue-text { color: blue; } inside your CSS style tags
and add a class to your h2 element <h2 class="blue-text"> </h2> @reddred

then the code I typed earlier will work @reddred just add the rule to the CSS and the class inside your opening h2 element

lol that is correct tho.. @Rooktnr

I suppose it depends on what your end goal is. If I needed to prototype or build to spec some mostly in-house pages I'd use bootstrap
especially if I needed to do it fast
I don't really want everything on my portfolio to use bootstrap because I don't want any potential employers thinking that's the only thing I know

Awmanthisguy
@awmanthisguy

the right side of the page overflows so there's a scroll bar
image.png
Awmanthisguy
@awmanthisguy
May 14 2017 01:06
so would make sense to drop the link box sooner than let bootstrap fluid container handle it?
I assume is what you mean
Kyle Holm
@thekholm80
May 14 2017 01:07
with all the empty space in the left margin, it seems odd to have to scroll right to see the whole page
Awmanthisguy
@awmanthisguy
May 14 2017 01:08
ahhh yeah... I have a empty div there to center everything..... prob would have been better to use left padding, or float both containers to the right... I assume float would have been better
Kyle Holm
@thekholm80
May 14 2017 01:08
I'm not too familiar with float, I don't use it often
Awmanthisguy
@awmanthisguy
May 14 2017 01:09
initially I was going to have content in that box... and either padding or float would have been my solution to keep main content centered and link box to the right
if I removed the empty box on the left
Kyle Holm
@thekholm80
May 14 2017 01:10
If you're using bootstrap you can just use the built in grid system to sort it all out, no need for padding and floats

Can anybody help me with the Confirm the Ending algorithm challenge? Here is my code:
function confirmEnding(str, target) {
var word = str;
var last = target;
var i = word.length - 1;
if (word.substr(i) === last) {
return true;
}
if (word.substr(i) !== last) {
return false;
}
/ An idea that I think probably won't work
var j = word.split(" ") - 1;
var b = j.length - 1;
if (word.substr(b) === last) {
return true;
}
if (word.substr(b) !== last) {
return false;
}
/

}

Looking like this: void asmSort(int *list, int arrayLen, int halfpoint) { _asm{} }
Halfpoint here is either 1 or 0 and determines whether I loop through the whole array(0) or loop through array_length/2 (1), Can anybode help me? I hope that makes sense

@DineshSaiP You need to make a h2 class, and put font-family=lobster into that, what ManishGiri was saying above.
@Rooktnr No, you should have 3 div col-xs-4 statements, one each per button, not just one big one.
The only inclusive div is the first one for the row, which needs a closing </div> at the very end

Emphasize the text in your target4 button by adding HTML tags.

$("#target4").html();

});

I need help with the Counting Cards challenge. My code returns just the last function's results and the value of "count" does not carry through. I think it might be because I'm using "return." I've tried "console.log();" instead, but it clearly wants me to use "return."
var count = 0;

function cc(card) {
  // Only change code below this line
  switch(card) {
    case 2,3,4,5,6:
      count += 1;
      break;
    case 7,8,9:
      count += 0;
      break;
    case 10,"J","Q","K","A":
      count -= 1;
      break;
  }
  if (count > 0) {
    return count + " " + "Bet";
  }
  else if (count <= 0) {
    return count + " " + "Hold";
  }
  // Only change code above this line
}

// Add/remove calls to test your function.
// Note: Only the last will display
cc(2); cc(3); cc(7); cc('K'); cc('A');
^ it should return 0, but is returning -1 instead

@arajason I think the problem is the way you're using case. In a previous exercise they showed you how to have multiple conditions for a single action:

  switch(card) {
    case 2:
    case 3:
    case 4:
    case 5:
    case 6:
      count += 1;
      break;
    case 7:
    case 8:
    case 9:
      count += 0;
      break;
    case 10:
    case "J":
    case "Q":
    case "K":
    case "A":
      count -= 1;
      break;
  }

this tested out to a final 0 Hold
