Hey @Umi13 did you figure out why your Font Awesome icon for the submit button wasn't showing?
Joshua Daniel Petty
@jashpetty
May 15 2017 00:06
Emphasize the text in your target4 button by adding HTML tags. Make sure the text is otherwise unchanged. Do not alter any other text. Make sure you are using .html() and not .text(). Make sure to select button id="target4" with jQuery.

@OhnowhatamIdoing Hmm, where to begin? <Div> containers are your friend. Bootstrap really makes it easy to categorize and organize your page. Decide on the number of sections on your page, and then make <div> containers for each section. You can then add id's to each <div > of each section to reference with links later on as is called for by the project.

Google is also your friend. Actually, Google is probably your best friend. You can find anything you really want to know on Google. "bootstrap grid system", "<div> element uses", "boostrap containers", "bootstrap jumbotron", and "bootstrap thumbnails" are all good examples of things to learn about.

https://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/ is excellent as a reference because all of the markup we do in the first set of projects uses boostrap.

It would be great if this image could be exactly the width of our phone's screen.

Fortunately, with Bootstrap, all we need to do is add the img-responsive class to your image. Do this, and the image should perfectly fit the width of your page.

Hi fellow code campers. I'm working on my personal portfolio and having a bit of trouble linking my social media into a button/at all. My current code is as follows: <a href="https://(my linkedin URL)">LinkedIn</a> and will redirect to a blank page. But as soon as I nestle it into a button, it does not even redirect to the blank page. I've double and triple checked that the URL is correct and works properly on it's own. Can anyone help me in correcting this code to work properly?

May 15 2017 01:17
@fmccroy I do not believe that my codepen link was what was being referenced. I removed my LinkedIn address for privacy purposes. How should I know why it is going to a blank page? If I did, I'd fix it. When I copy and paste the same URL into my browser's search bar, it pulls up my LinkedIn page. I know it is correct. Something in the code itself is not correct and that is what I need help with.
@Manish-Giri I'll hop over to my codepen and put in the target, I do not have that currently. Thank you for that, I'll give it a try.

Create a script element making sure it is valid and has a closing tag.
You should add $(document).ready(function() { to the beginning of your script element.
Close your $(document).ready(function() { function with });

Working on these challenges will involve you writing your code on Glitch on our starter project. After completing each challenge you can copy your public Glitch url (to the homepage of your app) into the challenge screen to test it! Optionally you may choose to write your project on another platform but it must be publicly visible for our testing.
Start this project on Glitch using this link or clone this repository on GitHub! If you use Glitch, remember to save the link to your project somewhere safe!

@asiashealthzone you were asked to delete only the style attribute from h2
not the entire h2
Kamal Morjal
@kamalx
May 15 2017 05:39

@asiashealthzone The style tag never has tags inside it like in your code:

<style>
<h2 {color: blue;}>CatPhotoApp</h2>
</style>
<!--  ^ this is wrong  -->

In order to select h2 element for styling, your selector should look like so instead:

<style>
h2 {
  ... your style rules go here ...
}
</style>

May 15 2017 06:37
what would you guess a CSS rule that started with h1.... what element would it be changing?
@nguyenboy98 that's a fun one.. you need to add a class one class per line
the top 2 lines add 1 class, the bottom one, three
@nguyenboy98 "Add the btn-primary class to the button with id #target1."
you only need to add that one class
so @Manish-Giri what's driving you to do the JSP course?

// Only change code below this line
if (a || b < 0) {
return undefined;
}

else if (a || b > 0) {
return (a * b) + 2;

can someone please explain to me how this is right... hahaha

if (a < 0) {
return undefined;
}

if (b < 0) {
return undefined;
}

else if (a && b <=2) {
return (a + b) * b;
}

one of the requirements is abTest(3,3) should return 12
in which my else if should be wrong, but I passed the challenge anyway..
