I don't understand what I did wrong here
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {});
</script>
Reset Help Bug
Create a script element making sure it is valid and has a closing tag.
You should add $(document).ready(function() { to the beginning of your script element.
Close your $(document).ready(function() { function with });
^those are the requirements for the code above it
Faithikins

Hello, I have been trying to practice up on some of my html and css and have been rewriting code pends to further understand what everything means and helps to visualize them, however I am writing them in brackets, and have noticed that they would not show up. Because of this I quick copy and paste the code into brackets add a css link and the css file and see if it would work before I spend time rewriting it and finding out it doesn't work. Any ideas on why this would be not working . Help would be so greatly appreciated!!!

guys I need help. These are the instructions: Create a class called thick-green-border that puts a 10-pixel-wide green border with a style of solid around an HTML element, and apply that class to your cat photo.

Remember that you can apply multiple classes to an element by separating each class with a space within its class attribute. and here's my code

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

<style>
.thick-green-border {
border-color: green;
border-width: 10px;
border-style: solid;
}
.red-text {
color: red;
}

h2 {
font-family: Lobster, Monospace;
}

p {
font-size: 16px;
font-family: Monospace;
}

.smaller-image {
width: 100px;
}
</style>

<h2 class="red-text">CatPhotoApp</h2>

<img class="thick-green-border 10px solid" class="smaller-image" src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back. ">

<p class="red-text">Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

Guys! it's not working. I'm so confused. So again, here are the instructions: Create a class called thick-green-border that puts a 10-pixel-wide green border with a style of solid around an HTML element, and apply that class to your cat photo.

Remember that you can apply multiple classes to an element by separating each class with a space within its class attribute. AND HERE IS MY CODE: <style>

Jun 02 2017 00:54
@ndogar because you are already targeting what you want and telling it what you want to do. you are targetting what you want in the doc section and telling it what to do with the ready. in the case of the clone it is already a function as it is no need for a further function

@SamPascall you can if you want, but i am sure there is a mistake in your code, remove all the code in your script tags, and copy the one from the page you are on, and paste that in there. that way we can be sure it is correct, then send us the code so we can make sure you copied and pasted correctly

For example, if we wanted to copy target2 from our left-well to our right-well, we would use:

$("#target2").clone().appendTo("#right-well");

AJ Brommy
@AJ-Brommy

@ScottBland i suppose you could think of it as a label, it is the name of your variable
ScottBland
@ScottBland
Jun 02 2017 01:18
Variables allow computers to store and manipulate data in a dynamic fashion. They do this by using a "label" to point to the data rather than using the data itself. Any of the seven data types may be stored in a variable.
Manish Giri
@Manish-Giri

You can use Bootstrap's col-xs-* classes on form elements, too! This way, our radio buttons will be evenly spread out across the page, regardless of how wide the screen resolution is.

Nest all of your radio buttons within a <div class="row"> element. Then nest each of them within a <div class="col-xs-6"> element.

Please show me the correct coding

Hello. Can anyone please help me with this problem. These are the hints: Nest your text input element within a form element.
Make sure your form has an action attribute which is set to /submit-cat-photo
Make sure your form element has a closing tag. AND THIS IS THE CODE I'VE WRITTEN: <form action="/submit-cat-photo"><input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL"></form>

I went back and redid my Title Case code from a few weeks ago. Before:
function titleCase(str) {
  var arr = str.toLowerCase().split(" ");
  var ara = []; // shifted off original
  var arz = [];
  var arx = []; // uppercased first letters
  var aru = [];
  var ark = [];

  for (var i = 0; i < arr.length; i++) {
    ara.push(arr[i].split(""));
  }

  for (var j = 0; j < ara.length; j++) {
    arz.push(ara[j].shift());
  }

  arx = arz.join("").toUpperCase().split("");

  for (var k = 0; k < ara.length; k++) {
    aru.push(ara[k].join(""));
  }

  for (var l = 0; l < arx.length; l++) {
    ark.push(arx[l] + aru[l]);
  }

  return ark.join(" ");

 }

  1. pick someone to make the page about
