You are welcome!!

Ive been stuck on this one for the last 2 hours... any help for this please??? CSS has a property called width that controls an element's width. Just like with fonts, we'll use px (pixels) to specify the image's width.

For example, if we wanted to create a CSS class called larger-image that gave HTML elements a width of 500 pixels, we'd use:

<style>
.larger-image {
width: 500px;
}
</style>
Create a class called smaller-image and use it to resize the image so that it's only 100 pixels wide.

Note
Due to browser implementation differences, you may need to be at 100% zoom to pass the tests on this challenge

Hey guys, I've run into a weird problem. Here's my code:

var gear=0;

this.setGear=function(change) {
gear += change;
};
this.getGear=function() {
return gear;
};
};

var myCar = new Car();

var myBike = new Bike();

And here are the conditions to be met:

Yes)The method getGear of myBike should be accessible outside the object.
Yes)The method setGear of myBike should be accessible outside the object.
Yes)myBike.gear should remain undefined.
Yes)myBike.getGear() should return 4 after calling myBike.setGear(4).
No)myBike.getGear() should return 3 after calling myBike.setGear(3).
No)myBike.getGear() should return 1 after calling myBike.setGear(1).

You can see why I'm confused...

Hey guys, can anyone give me a hint how to make a photo with a white background like on this page: https://codepen.io/freeCodeCamp/full/NNvBQW It was said in the task we don't need any CSS. I thought of using <div class="well"> in bootstrap, but it looks different. Does anyone have any idea?

@ravikishorethella With CSS, there are hundreds of CSS properties that you can use to change the way an element looks on your page.

When you entered <h2 style="color: red">CatPhotoApp</h2>, you were giving that individual h2 element an inline style.

That's one way to add style to an element, but a better way is by using CSS, which stands for Cascading Style Sheets.

At the top of your code, create a style element like this:

<style>
where do i put that?
Delete your h2 element's style attribute and instead create a CSS style element. Add the necessary CSS to turn all h2 elements blue.

Jun 22 2017 02:21

Hello everyone.
I'm learning the .some() method and I am supposed to look for a mirrored number (like palindrome)
my code is:

var newArr = arr.slice(), a=0, b=0;

newArr.some((x,i)=>{
a=newArr[i].toString().split("");
b=newArr[i+1].toString().split("").reverse();
console.log(a,b);
return a===b
})
console.log(a,b);

The first console.log shows that I am getting exactly what I want but I get an error after that.
/Cannot read property 'toString' of undefined/

Any help pointing what might be wrong?

Also, put in under <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css"></head>

Hello. I'm creating a tribute page and I want to use bootstrap in my code. I'm using codepen to create it. Do I need to add <link rel="stylesheet" href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.1/css/bootstrap.min.css"/>
to the HTML or CSS tab?

Ken Haduch
@khaduch
Jun 22 2017 04:13
@BigDreams64 - on CodePen, you should have all of the CSS styles in the CSS panel, and the external libs in the CSS config panel - nothing like that should be in the HTML panel.
And the alignment on the list is strange-looking. Having a fixed padding like that will make the page very non-responsive, would probably look terrible on a mobile device. Although I don't think that responsive behavior is one of the user stories, it is a good idea to get familiar with setting a page up to be responsive. Check out what happens when you make your browser window narrow, and you'll see what kind of effects you would get on a phone.

the instructions said to ONLY use the HTML pannel
Kyle Holm
@thekholm80
Jun 22 2017 04:16
that doesn't sound right

Objective: Build a CodePen.io app that is functionally similar to this:

Fulfill the below user stories. Use whichever libraries you need. Give it your own personal style.

User Story: I can view a tribute page with an image and text.

User Story: I can click on a link that will take me to an external website with further information on the topic.

Remember to use Read-Search-Ask if you get stuck.

When you are finished, click the "I've completed this challenge" button and include a link to your CodePen.

You can get feedback on your project by sharing it with your friends on Facebook.

Ken Haduch
@khaduch
Jun 22 2017 04:18
@BigDreams64 - CodePen has a template that it uses, it fills in all of the bits and pieces from the different sections on the interface. so only HTML code (basically, what you would put in the body section) in the HTML panel, any CSS and related external modules should be in the CSS panel and config settings, and JS should all be in the JavaScript panel, and external modules linked in the js config settings. If you don't follow that, you'll have invalid HTML output, and sometimes (not often, which fools you) you'll run into issues.

@Yonatan1 first of all your runnnig bootstrap 4 not 3. GO to your external css and remove bootstrap 4 and paste this code https://maxcdn. bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css. also you need to add a quick link. That quick link should be animate. and it should work.
