@knight2 There have been no reports of any issues with Beta. If I a manually navigate through the map the challenges are loading

@mstellaluna I am reporting an issue
No where on beta site does map load
At least for me
Try clickon on the links
from the map
you'll notie the page has no info
Yes some people can see the challenges fro map view
but I cannot
  1. see map view at all
  2. actually clicking the link from maps will result in no data showing
tried both in regular chrome + incognito + firefox.
idk what is wrong with it for me
how can you explain that screenshot of the page
plus the react return of No Super Blocks
Other than there HAVING to be an issue with FCC beta website

@knight2 Please open an issue on the FCC repo and also provide the link to the issue in the contributors room. As a chat moderator, i unforunately cannot provide technical assistance. I just simply stated there haven't been other reports of issues with the beta site.

When I click start, a function should light up the divs every two seconds. I used debugger to debug, the algorithm does just as I wanted, but I could not see the divs change colors.
Ask me if you didn't understand any part of the algorithm. Or the logic.

@Morched23MJ
Nov 03 2017 04:04
@korzo, it didn't change color, because I added the class, but the id still there, so the style of the id is the one who show up, which is why it stayed that way. Now fixed that, and figuring out something else.. :l

@Morched23MJ without the change above, a is always 0 inside setTimeout callback
Morchid Chellali
@Morched23MJ
Nov 03 2017 04:12
Why? :O
korzo
@korzo
Nov 03 2017 04:14
@Morched23MJ because setTimeout is async function and it run, when main function is finished. This means after for loop and therefore a has value from last iteration
@Morched23MJ https://repl.it/NgQC
@Morched23MJ changing var to let will solve the problem

I expect it to remove the ID, then after one second add the same ID.
It does that, but the divs change colors only once, and together
korzo
@korzo
Nov 03 2017 04:22
@Morched23MJ it's the same problem as with a
@Morched23MJ click will have same value for all setTimeout callbacks
@Morched23MJ value from the last iteration of for loop

Nov 03 2017 04:26

Hey guys I am trying to get this REGex to work. I am trying to validate phone numbers. Here is what I have so far.

^([1]{1})?\s?(\()(?=[0-9]{3}\))([0-9]{3})\)\s?[-.]?([0-9]{3}[-.]?\s?([0-9]{4}))$

The problem I have is with the parenthesis . I am trying to make it optional, but I cant seem to do it. This number should return true. 1 226 666 6566

rscales02
@rscales02
Nov 03 2017 14:55
@zootechdrum you can clean it up a little by using \d instead of [0-9]
try (\(\d{3}\)|\d{3})
that checks for three digits in () OR 3 digits with the |
zootechdrum
@zootechdrum
Nov 03 2017 14:58
@rscales02 I tried that. I don't think I am implementing it correctly
^([1]{1})?\s?(\()(?=[0-9]{3}\)|\d{3})([0-9]{3})\)\s?[-.]?([0-9]{3}[-.]?\s?([0-9]{4}))$

(\()(?=[0-9]{3}\)?)
I know the problem is with this line. It escapes a parenthesis and then the lookahead to make sure that "(" is matched by 3 numbers and another ")". I should be able to put a "|" like you said at the end to say if or it should be 3 numbers without parenthesis but when i do that it dosent match anything

@rscales02
Nov 03 2017 17:19
@zootechdrum you should try looking for (123) or 123 instead of looking for maybe ( followed by maybe 123 followed by maybe )
or you could change your code to (\()?(\d{3})(\))? that might work... you are missing a few parenthesis for your code the way you are trying to do it
