1row 3cols
Long Nguyen

@alexandrupintilei the margins are equal, just your images are not filling the blank spaces

you trying to use it for server testing with oracles get server edition but if you can get them both you can dual boot them and test them both out. It really depends on what you want to master with it you said oracle.

@alpox do you know if is posible with a bootstrpa class to move that text in center of img?
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 10:45
@alexandrupintilei Hmm i don't find an utility class for it atm (I don't use bootstrap normally anyway) but you can just put this in your css:
.text_over_image {
  position: absolute;
  left: 50%;
  top: 50%;
  transform: translate(-50%, -50%);
}
Should do the trick

alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 11:50
@alexandrupintilei It seems to be the col element which goes out. You can try to put there a p-0 too
@alexandrupintilei And m-0 on the row
To remove the extra margin
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 11:54
hello world what the hell does cannot assign to read only property 0
image.png
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 11:55
image.png
@alpox that fixed that problem, but resive my navbar
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 11:56
@gishy1 arr[i][j] is the problem. You try to assign to this. But arr[i][j] is actually the jth position in one of the strings in the array! Strings are read-only and therefore you get that error.
@alexandrupintilei Ah didn't know that there is a navbar or anything :D i wonder why it did that though :-/
Then i'm not sure if its a good idea to get rid of paddings/margins
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 11:57
i understand
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 11:57
Because bootstrap relies on them quite often and when you have a navbar over it it can change its alignment
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 11:57
it can be a nesting problem
wired part is why is only the right side
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 11:59
@alpox so i use arr[i] because it is a string
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 11:59
@gishy1 I wonder why you even want to assign anything
@gishy1 And also what you have a nested loop for
What was your idea to solve the challenge?
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 12:02
@alpox try and assign the [i] the sliced characters
+
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:02
@gishy1 But you want to save it back in the same array?
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 12:03
@alpox i had wanted to place in an empty array
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:03
@gishy1 Anyway. What you need is only 1 loop and one new array to store the chunks in. You can then use .push to append to the storage array.
@gishy1 The array you named arrEmpty is not empty though. An empty array is created with []
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 12:04
@alpox i was trying out something
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:04
That idea is good though :-)
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:04
image.png
@alpox
is a row problem
gishy1
@gishy1
Nov 04 2017 12:05
[i][j] failed why again string you said
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:05
@alexandrupintilei Ah you have the navbar inside of that row? Maybe create another row before that one and put the navbar in there?
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:06
let me try
but that row is empty
i mean isnt necesary to create another one
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:07
@gishy1 arr is ["a", "b", "c", "d"] in this case. arr[i] with i==0 would therefore be "a" if you now take "a"[j] where j==0 you get the single letter "a" . You tried to assign to that letter in the string arr[i]. Because a string is readonly, that is not allowed.
Alex

@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:13
@alexandrupintilei Ahm i meant the background image, not the brand image before
But it looks like they are in their own anyway... do you have the background image in its own container?
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:14
@alpox background img is in another container
yes
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:14
Ah... then try removing the p-0 and m-0 on this container
And leave it on the other one
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:14
ok.sec
same problem
is not exactly same,but if i remove p-0 from col
the white space come again xD
@alpox

alpox
@alpox

@alexandrupintilei From col? In the navbar part? I don't see a col there :D
Alex

Nov 04 2017 12:18
@alpox the col where background img make the white space
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:18
@alexandrupintilei I meant leave it there, don't remove it there
But remove it from the container of the navbar
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:20
image.png
@alpox that row - > col is the problem
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:21
Yea so what happens when you put the p-0 on the col again?
Navbar gone again?
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:21
i dont get why row dosent inhert width of container
image.png
@alpox if i put p-o on col,this is the result
background img go full width,but navbar keep his width,cause is in another container,row or col,i guess
so should i create a col to navbar and give it p-0?
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:23
@alexandrupintilei And you tried to remove the row around the navbar?
Alex
@alexandrupintilei
Nov 04 2017 12:24

alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 12:24

         title = T;

    public String getDescription()
    {

Did i initilize the title correctly and return it right ?
alpox
@alpox
Nov 04 2017 22:22
@JansanSelva Yes except that you don't comply with the code style guide. Variable names have to be written small. (T is therefore no good name)
@JansanSelva And it should probably be getTitle() instead of getDescription() because that can be misleading

Can someone help me with Regex? I'm using PHP.
Having problems with Regex. Here is string: "(ILLUSTRATION 1D) - AWS 10-Piece Inspection Toolkit". I want to capture "AWS 10-Piece Inspection Toolkit". However this does not work:
$string = preg_replace("/((ILLUSTRATION.))(.-|\s)(.*)/", "$3", $string);
I'm getting "10-Piece Inspection Toolkit" in variable.
