iconproperty and value should be
var icon = data.weather.icon ;.
data.weather.iconbut for the data that I received for my location, it was in
data.weather.icon... I don't know if that's a change or just some inconsistency?
@lion18 - I found some information at this freecodecamp redditlink and using that, I made a couple modifications to your Pen and got it to work. Basically, once you make sure you have the icon value (as I said, I got it from a slightly different location in the returned data, as shown in my previous comments) this code worked:
var iconBase2 = 'http://openweathermap.org/img/w/' var iconURL = iconBase2 + icon + '.png'; $("#image").attr("src", iconURL);
I don't know if it's still legit to get the icons from the openweathermap site, or if there is a way to access them through the
fcc-weather-api.glitch.me site? But once you get the proper icon name, the code above works... There might be other options, too...
